Super User Raul Posted June 11, 2016 Super User Posted June 11, 2016 Variable gear ratio hasn´t existed in freshwater baitcasters since the 80´s. 1 Quote
Mumbly Posted June 14, 2016 Posted June 14, 2016 I haven't seen one made since the late 80's with Shimano's Bantum Beastmaster 2-speed. It had a lever that you flipped up and down for 6.1:1 and 4.1:1. I bought one back then and still have it. 1 Quote
mojojojo Posted June 14, 2016 Posted June 14, 2016 Doesn't exist like others have said, but a good reel for under $100: Look on Ebay, you can pick up a Daiwa Tatula brand new for $95 and a Lews tournament MB for around $100 (maybe a few bucks more) You will not find two better reels for that price anywhere. I own both but prefer the Tatula. 1 Quote
