Super User dodgeguy Posted July 3, 2005 Super User Posted July 3, 2005 yesterday espn had a show where they took a small sunken 14 foot john boat and overhauled it into a nice shallow water/small water rig.to stop leaks they had a rhino liner truck bed spray on liner sprayed inside the boat.what a great idea!!!those liners can be sprayed up to 1/4 inch thick and last forever. Low_Budget_Hooker Posted July 3, 2005 Posted July 3, 2005 spray on ones like rhino-liner are usually done by a "rhinoliner dealer". Herculiner can be purchased at most auto stores and rolls on. this is the boat I just did http://bassresource.com/cgi-bin/bass_fish/YaBB.pl?board=boating_ID;action=display;num=1119359773 Quote
Super User dodgeguy Posted July 3, 2005 Author Super User Posted July 3, 2005 does it become a plastic? Quote
Low_Budget_Hooker Posted July 4, 2005 Posted July 4, 2005 it's kinda hard to describe. It"s like an indestructible rubber. It is very "grippy". I have to replace my carpeted bunks with rollers cause it's real tough to slide on the carpet. Quote
Low_Budget_Hooker Posted July 8, 2005 Posted July 8, 2005 you can,...but I wouldn't Why would you want to? Quote
Cajun1977 Posted July 9, 2005 Posted July 9, 2005 down the center of my fiberglass boat it has a long running crack on both sides i was thinking if i just rhinolined the middle the keel i beleive it would help seal that crack and prevent further damage Quote
el_jewapo Posted July 9, 2005 Posted July 9, 2005 low budget hookers, i have rhino lining in my truck bed, i love it! have you ever fealt the texture of a rhino liner? is herculiner the same texture? Quote
el_jewapo Posted July 9, 2005 Posted July 9, 2005 Quote down the center of my fiberglass boat it has a long running crack on both sides i was thinking if i just rhinolined the middle the keel i beleive it would help seal that crack and prevent further damage the lining wears off on the very edge of my tailgate where i slide my boat in the back of my truck. we called the rhino place to see if they could patch it and the guy told us that they patch it with windshield adhesive. so we just bought some to patch it. that stuff is super tough when it dries. you could probably get off cheaper buying a tube of that and filling the crack with it than buying a can of the liner. the windshield adhesive is about as durable and almost the same texture. it's like tire rubber when it dries. Low_Budget_Hooker Posted July 9, 2005 Posted July 9, 2005 herculiner isn't as good IMO. Has a rubbery-er texture Quote
