Don't have a PIC right now but I have a spider wire bag I bought at academy for $25. I love it but I should have got the one that holds the bigger plano boxes

Perfect I was just getting ready to start a thread about this, I need something with a shoulder strap, one of my fishing places is about a mile walk.

I recommend back packs for long walks. I use a adidas soccer backpack. I can fit 2 plano boxes and 1 slim box for hooks. And in the outside ball pocket i can fit over 20 bags of plastics. And its very rugged. Ive used it over a year carrying around 20lbs and it has not ripped.

One time i bought the tackleware house backpack and lasted 1 trip

I use the rod lockers on my 18' boat as it can hold a lot of baits.

This Gander Mountain one I use mainly for my boat. Its large. I have had it a year or two and its holding up very well. I also have a Okeechobee Fats Large bag I use it holds all my plastics.

This Okeechobee Fats one is the same as mine it is a older model I believe. I use to carry it bank fishing but havent bank fished in quite a while now.

I use to bank fish a lot and have several different bags. The problem is you keep buying bigger bags to carry more stuff to the point the bag is too heavy to carry. In my basement is a Cabelas bag that holds like 15 3700 Plano boxes that when filled would require a cart to move.

A little more than I've spent on other tackle storage systems, but it does hold a ton of gear!

Seems like they'd be a bear to carry around the lake:blink: of course, they are on wheels so that helps...

Plus they float and are motorized, much easier than carrying one :)

Bank fishing bag - boat fishing bag - co-angler bag = three different things.   Don't bank fish much - but when I did a back pack was much better than some bag with a shoulder strap.  The primary rule for bank fishing gear is that it weighs more at the end of the day than it does at the beginning so pack accordingly.

Boat fishing bags - I have many for storage.  My boat doesn't have lockable compartments so I transfer most of my gear from fishing truck to boat.   Bag for cranks, bag for jerk baits, bag for jigs, multiple bags for soft plastics.  The large size Cabelas bag works great for storing a decent number of cranks.  In olden times, BPS sold double sided crank bait boxes, which had a v-shaped slot to them.   Magnum bag holds 4 or 5 of those double sided boxes and that is a serious amount of cranks - enough for me.  There is also room in the bag for specialty kits, i.e. a box of lipless cranks, box of spooks & poppers,  etc.  Soft plastic storage is simple, just buy as many cheap canvas duffle bags as you need.   Go to the tool bag section at Harbor Freight and they have a variety of sizes - much cheaper than BPS or Cabelas.

Co angler bag - I have a medium sized Benny Brauer bag I got at Cabelas and I just pick and choose what I think I'm going to need that day in the back of the boat - being very aware I can't bring nearly as much stuff with me as Ido in my boat.   Make a few decisions on what you think will work that day and stuck with it.

Does this count as tackle storage 'on the bank'? :P

Cabelas fisherman series.  On sale now.  Check it out.

Strictly bank fishing with 1 or 2 rods max. Depending where and how long I'll be out determines which bag I take. Though I have been taking the Plano bag a lot lately.

I've abandoned bags and boxes for the XL milk crate.  3600 sized trays fit perfectly and there's just enough room for two catch-all coffee cans.  It fits my stuff and I can just throw it in my kayak or car or whatever and things stay easily accessible.    No zippers, no compartments etc.  I like it that way.

Anybody want a guide series 3600 bag?  Lol.  I bought it and never even used it!

This ^^^^^  Love the Gander bag and they sometimes have great sales.  The sunglass holder is a nice feature for me, I always know where they are and that they're protected.

I keep most of my stuff in a BPS 370 bag.  For walking around and fishing from the bank I use a Plano 1155 box.
