I have a feelfree lure 11.5 I fish with and my girl wants to tag along in her own kayak.

She fishes a little but doesnt need a full blown fishing kayak.  Just something light, comfortable, SOT, and good storage.  Something we can take on a river trip and her feel safe in.  The feelfree moken light looks good but its pushing the price range.

Any othee options to consider?

The Malibu Mini-X is a very nice, stable, lightweight kayak. I had to sell mine because my back couldn't take it anymore.

After a lot of research for my wife, we headed to the shop armed with 4 or 5 models to look at.  We left with a Perception Tribe 9.5, which wasn't on that list.  However, after a couple months, she absolutely loves it.

I have a Vibe Skipjack 90, and I love it. I would say it's a great beginner kayak, and one that's not very large. I have limited space and lifting restrictions, so at 46lbs it's perfect.

We've had kayaks before, with the wife in a small 9 footer. Thing is, it was so slow that she couldn't keep up and hated it.

This time we got her a Jackson Tupelo 12.5, it has a great seat, is stable, and very fast when compared to most fishing kayaks. She loves it and can easily keep up now.  And it has some track for rod holders and lots of room inside  I've taken it out fishing a couple of times myself, and really enjoyed it  compared to my kayak (a Jackson Tripper 12), the Tupelo glides so much easier that I was constantly overshooting my spots, great problem to have and once I got used to it, maneuvering to fishing spots was almost effortless.

I got the idea for the Tupelo from a Chris Funk video on YouTube.
