DailyBassin' Posted June 6, 2016 Posted June 6, 2016 Hey guys, me and a buddy have located an area in a canal where there are a bunch of clownknives, some big some small. We have only hooked two in about five days of fishing, one broke my buddy off and the other shook my lure free. We see them rolling everywhere, and they even come all the way out of the water to roll. These past few days, we haven't hooked up with one. We might be bringing live bait soon, but I was wondering if anyone knew any good artificials or tactics that we might be throwing/doing wrong. We mainly have been throwing small 2-inch swimbaits and shad-shaped jerkbaits. Quote
bigbassin' Posted June 8, 2016 Posted June 8, 2016 From what I've always heard, shiners are basically a necessity to catch them. Quote
Frise Posted June 11, 2016 Posted June 11, 2016 I agree with @bigbassin' pretty much the only way to catch one is wth a shiner. Quote
