mrmacwvu1 Posted June 3, 2016 Posted June 3, 2016 Well today was my dad's birthday. He was my best friend, fishing and hunting partner and just a d**n good guy. Too bad he passed away five years ago. I used to cry almost every day when I thought of him because I missed him so much. Now I smile most days thinking of how much fun we had together. I still miss him though. So this morning I get a call from me Ex. Her grandma died. The funny thing is she was closer to me then any of her family. I love her and she loved me unconditionally. She was a crazy little Polish cooking, wine drinking cussing like a sailor friend of mine. She is going to be bossing Jesus around tonight. So if you have a beer, raise a glass and tell her go relax for once she spent her life making others happy. 1 Quote

frosty Posted June 4, 2016 Posted June 4, 2016 I lost my dad 4 years ago in April, I can definitely relate to your pain. Sorry for your losses. Quote
Super User NorcalBassin Posted June 5, 2016 Super User Posted June 5, 2016 Sorry for your losses and as sad as they are I'd have to say that silver lining of great memories in the absence of regret with your dad is something special that will keep him near and dear forever. Awesome you guys were that close and did so many things together. Quote
Last_Cast Posted June 21, 2016 Posted June 21, 2016 Polish grandmas are great. Ever get lucky enough to eat polish food? Lol. Sorry to hear about your friend. Cheers to your dad as well! Quote
Frogfather Posted June 25, 2016 Posted June 25, 2016 Just toasted her spirt. Hopefully, she doesn't cuss me out. Quote
Super User Darren. Posted June 25, 2016 Super User Posted June 25, 2016 I raised a glass of wine to her. Hope she won't mind it wasn't a beer. Quote
