Super User new2BC4bass Posted June 2, 2016 Super User Posted June 2, 2016 A reel of mine is making a high pitch squealing noise for just under a second at the beginning of the cast. First thought was that the spool was rubbing on the frame. However, I don't think it is because casting distance is excellent. Reel is straight from the box. Thanks. 1 Quote
RJD1 Posted June 2, 2016 Posted June 2, 2016 If it has centrifugal brakes, try putting some oil on a q tip and lubricating the inside of the frame where the brakes contact. I have to do this often with my Shimano's 1 Quote
