Ghostshad Posted June 1, 2016 Posted June 1, 2016 Its giving 80 % rain tomorrow so i'm thinking about going , think the rain will bring them shallow ? Quote
Luna2406 Posted June 2, 2016 Posted June 2, 2016 i went fishing Monday and it rained the whole time I was in a small creek where the water was no deeper than 3 ft. I target trees with a wacky worm and had one of the best fishing days I've ever had. The water was stained with maybe a foot of visibility. hope this helps some. Quote
papajoe222 Posted June 2, 2016 Posted June 2, 2016 I don't know about the rain bringing them shallow, but chances are good that they'll be more active/aggressive. That's a good situation to catch some fish hanging around shallow cover as their strike window will be bigger. Non-finess tactics rule under those conditions, so break out your frogs and spinnerbaits. Wishing you the best. 3 Quote

Super User Bankbeater Posted June 2, 2016 Super User Posted June 2, 2016 I went fishing Tuesday. It sprinkled off and on all morning. Most of the bigger fish were staying down in a creek bed that runs across the lake. They were definitely more active. 1 Quote

Super User Catt Posted June 2, 2016 Super User Posted June 2, 2016 I don't particularly care to fish in rain but will. I do however find cloudy overcast days far more productive than sunny days. 1 Quote
jdw174 Posted June 2, 2016 Posted June 2, 2016 Some of my best fishing days have come in a steady rain. Not a blowing, sideways rain, but on a fairly still day. Quote
CDMeyer Posted June 2, 2016 Posted June 2, 2016 Rain + Wind = Spinner Bait down the Bank. If it is just a solid rain I tend to find stumps and pull a spinner bait around/over the stumps Quote
