Well, it's said that the two most happiest days of owning a boat is the day you get it and the day you sell it.

I can't agree with that, one of the saddest days happend just last night, amoung building pressure from the wife and the buyer, the Nitro has been sold☹️

Her 115 gave up the ghost just before Veterens day two years ago, I had hopes of running across a 125 someday and putting her back in service, that little 170TF delivered some truly great times over her course, she has been with me since 1999 and given me and my family some truly great memories with very little fuss, my daughters first big fish, a nice 5lb. striper, my first Bass from learning about off shore structure, many wounded warrior tournaments, cancer support tournaments and of course, some late night cruises with the Mrs., lots of great memories, see ya little Nitro and thanks for all of it !!!

Some people get attached to their pets, I'm just different in that respect I guess so don't judge LOL !

Sorry for you having to let her go. But sometimes we have to do things like that. I sold a 76' Corvette and used a small portion to buy my boat. I see my old vette occasionally and she sure looks nice but I didn't drive her hardly ever and the 20yr old fella that bought it is in prime wife hunting age.

LOL!! If one should need a car such as that, I expect the girl is just as fast as the car...

I wish we could just keep some things in life ya know! But, oh well, we can't take em with us when we go so why not let others enjoy it as well.

Nice ride!!

It's all worth it in the end I guess, I had a 1100 Verago that I wish I had back every day, what a great bike that was to get out and enjoy , that right there is a beautiful piece of machinery Hamma, I hope he at least will let you take it for a spin now and then !

Im sure he would, and thanks nitro, I got alot of complements on that bike...did you get another boat? I hope so,..if not, your welcome to come and fish with me whenever ya want.,.. also

Im sorry to hear that you let your rig go, I know it would be a hard time for me to do so without a replacement.,... I've had offers for mine, actually asked what it would take for me to let it go,..my reply?,.."pry my cold dead hands from it"

But things happen, and ya do what ya got to when the time comes, as i used to reply to offers for the bike in the same manner,...lol

Man that stinks, I know how you feel. :( The first truck I owned was a 94 Nissan 4x4 that I loved. Put over 200k on her before the repairs needed to keep her going were too much for me to afford. Sold her to a mechanic and now I see her driving around town almost every other day.  It's a dagger in the heart ever time I see her. At least the dude gave me a ride in her recently...

Are you getting another boat?

Yes I did Hamma, it's a 2000 Pro Craft 200 Super Pro, while the Super Pro sounds like freakin awesome, it is not without its little quirks, used crafts are never without a something or other but, it's 19.75 foot, upgraded from 17', it's got a tremendous ride over the old Nitro, much much faster to get on plane and much much quicker on top, I fish with a lot of veterans who have health issues, some with back issues or other issues and the complements on the ride have been a blessing for both, I guess that since tracker marine purchased the brand as well as Astro along about the time this one was built, I don't have to change my profile name LOL !!!

I am really enjoying the ride or, new to me ride, I have always wanted a Z-9 and maybe someday that dream will come true but this ride for now is a blessing for what I do with it for me as well as others, thanks a bunch for asking my friend!!

It does seem fitting that the last water she seen was with a Veteren as well as family, when she blew, I was with a Veteren, the last trip was on the trolling motor with my son-in-law at lake Fredrick with his Father, my son-in-law had not been too long back from a trip over the pond and his first fishing trip since returning, here are a few pics of the new ride and I wil try for one with my son-in-law.

It hurt me when I had to sell my first "real", boat. Lots of good times, fish, and bad weather were enjoyed in that boat. Wish I could have afforded it an the new boat, but it just wasn't possible.

3 Girls and 2 grand babies, that's 2 daughters and a wife who likes to spend money...

I am, as you are, all about family, it seems all of our wants are put away for the needs and, sometimes wants, of our children and grandchildren and IMO that's how it should be, I am blessed to have what I have in this ol' life, the mechanical things are just an added bonus, it's just that I find it a little difficult to turn lose of the things you scrimp and save for especially when it gives you so much in return, I have a really good idea of the things you have passed up for the happiness and well being of family, when you can provide that and get love in return, there is really not much else that matters.

(Edit) I wanted to add this to my post but tell me if this just doesn't make ones day LOL!!

NIIICCCEEEE! boat Nitro, congrats on the upgrade and im sure some day your dream nitro will be yours. you will work out the pro crafts kinks im sure. And yes the baby pic does make ones day for sure. who couldnt smile at that pic? And thank the young serviceman for his service for me, happy he caught one.

I feel your pain Bluebasser86, but good memories die hard, hold on to those good times,...and always remember, good lord provides us with what needs be, when needs be... and good things do come to the righteous. Just look at nitro now,  hes got a bigger better ride to assist the veterans in the kind manner he does,... Your day will come to. and I hope and pray soon. You and Nitro have released your first rig, and thats gotta be tough, but new things fill in the spaces. I hope I have the resolve to continue on uneffected if I were to let my boat go, but i kinda doubt it. I bought mine new in 97 they replaced it in 2000, when i gave them back the 97 it saddened me a bit, even though i got a new one in return. I cant imagine what you guys have been thru. but pray you both good tidings

Catt and Tim gave me a good long needed laugh ,...Thanks

And Catt, with 6 kids and raising 2 grandkids,... At 64,.. you must be fishing on autopilot, and really napping!,. I can see it now; "snoore, snort! snooore,....whooops, another 5lber, ,....musta been the snort" . lord knows you could,...lmao!!!!!!

Ditto on the family stuff Nitro,.. I have 3 daughters as well, and I have always been all about them first, but they are now all teens, and tell me they dont need me, they're all about the smartphone and drama, and im sure you know,..they, "know it all"..Im still here for them and always will be but,..these days I need my release, my sanity, my tracker!...lmao ,..They are upset I sold the bike, they loved that thing. but they like the boat too, and with my injuries the boats a smarter choice. Even though material things are minial and miniscule in the scope of things, they can bring joy, happiness, and endless memories. And when those things are shared with loved ones, they become something more than miniscule and minial, almost part of the family. The memories my girls have of days we fished together will be the ones they never forget, rides i took them on the bike, again they will remember. And to me? their happiness is all that really matters. Im sure you all know the smiles on their faces when they caught their first smallie, or the long ride down that "certain country road" Bringing them joy is what im all for, as you said,. "there is really not much else that matters"

 Keep ya line wet!
