Two entirely different animals, but if I had to choose on a T-rig where I fish it would be the brush hog. But I own pleanty of rage craws and love em.

I would say both. One is no better than the other. I say it depends on fish and the conditions and fishing pressure on your body of water. In my experience both produce quality and numbers in the right conditions. But lately I have been killing them on the baby brush hog.

I have fished both t-rigged and, as has been said, are dependent on what the fish are looking for. The profile for one is not the same as the other so the reaction from fish wont be the same on any given day. Either bait can be equally killer in the right setting from my experience.

Different baits with very different actions and profiles. I'd rather fish the Rage Craw because it seems to produce more big fish for me.

If had to pick one of your choices for a t-rig it would be the Rage Craw. Now the standard sized Brush Hog is a whole different matter.

I've retired my Brush Hogs and Baby Brush Hogs since I started using Rage Tails.  Never encountered a time when my hogs weren't out-performed by RT Structure Bugs or Craws.  On rare occasions when minimal flapping is desired, I will drag a Pit Boss which, for me, also bested Brush Hogs.

i would rather texas rig a brush hog if i'm using a rage craw it is on a jig

apples and oranges.  Both are excellent fish catchers-when that is what the fish want.

The 4 inch Rage Craw is easily the most productive soft plastic bait I have every used.  I Texas rig it 90 percent of the time.

The 4 inch Rage Bug is easily the most productive bait I have ever used.  I have one tied on (t-rig, usually) almost always.

I reach into a gallon zip lock bag where I’ve poured all my creature baits. Whatever I pull out goes on. I catch fish.

I like the Rage Bug too, but get better hook sets with the craw.

My biggest fish on a rage craw: 7lb 15oz

Biggest fish on a baby brush hog: 7lb 5oz

 

15oz > 5oz

 

The math checks out.

 

(Like a couple of other users, though I love the brush hog line and have had tons of success on them, I have also mostly switched to rage craws or bugs for the same situations).
