chris55552 Posted June 1, 2016 Posted June 1, 2016 Bought a 10xd crank bait this weekend, took 1 cast to realize this will require special gear. Can you guys suggest a reasonable cranking rod for deep diving crank baits such as 10 xd, and 6xd. Already have a low gear Lewis tournament mg 5:4 gear ratio to use just need a rod. ew Quote
Super User fishballer06 Posted June 1, 2016 Super User Posted June 1, 2016 You need something that will handle up to 3oz. with a moderate action. Very few rods fit this bill, so do some research online and determine how much you're willing to spend and what is the best option for you. Quote

Airman4754 Posted June 1, 2016 Posted June 1, 2016 Enigma Aaron Martens line has a 7'11" MH/Mod that I use which handles 10XD's with ease. Matt Cashion makes a heavy cranking stick. Phenix makes one. iRod makes one. There are a lot of options. Quote
