Joshua Colvey Posted May 31, 2016 Posted May 31, 2016 My father in law and i were talking about fishing this weekend. He said he had fished with a man for a while that had a ball he would drop in the water and it would set about 2-3 minutes. He would pull it out of the water and it would tell the water temp and also tell what color lure to use based on the water conditions. Anyone know anything about this? I know there the the deeper ball or something like that that kinda works similier to this but no lure information. I am just now starting my venture to get into kayak fishing. Quote
Super User Scott F Posted May 31, 2016 Super User Posted May 31, 2016 There was a device called a color-c-lector out many years ago that was endorsed by touring pros that is exactly what you described. It looks like you can still buy them. I have no idea if it actually picks the right color or not. Quote
