Mono, braid or braid+flouro leader for wacky rigging?

I am going to start wacky rigging soon but I don't know what line would be best for it. I have 10lb mono line on my rod best suited for wacky rigging, but if braid with or without a flourocarbon leader would be significantly better, I will do it. So can someone help me in deciding which line to use? Thanks!

Everyone is different. I prefer to use straight 10 pound braid. But for my water conditions its perfect.

I find my best results are throwing a wacky rigged net bait/yamamato into the weeds, and toolies..So I broke off too many times with a leader...

I'll use straight braid if I can get away with it. Otherwise, braid with a leader for me.

I loathe straight fluoro, but that's what I use on my Senko rig. The sensitivity weightless on slack line is really good.

I use 2 different combos for wacky rigs and one has 10lb fluoro and the other is braid with fluoro leader.

If you're a masochistic looking for frustration, go FC.  If you want a very sensitive, trouble-free, long-casting setup, go straight braid or braid + FC leader.  In clear water I go with the leader.  Easiest, very reliable line to leader knot is the double uni, if it will go through the guides.  If not, learn the FG.

I'm a braid with mono leader guy. I am not convinced 6-7 feet of fluoro is going to give me any benefit over mono in that situation.

Ideally I would have a spinning set up with straight fluoro for wacky rigging for the slack line sensitivity but since I only have one at the moment, I do braid to a fluoro leader.

I like 20# braid w/ short mono leader. The 'twitch' with wacky is a great trigger and best produced with line floating above bait. Leader length varies from 3 to 6ft depending on water depth. i tend to fish wacky's shallow in my waters.

Like Mosster, straight FC can be helpful at times, esp in deeper water and in wind.

8lb mono. never had as much luck with braid for wacky rigging

Straight 20# braid if I can get away with it. But just in case, I have 20# yellow braid with a Grand Slam Select co-poly leader. The yellow braid helps my old eyes detect subtle strikes.

Braid with a fluoro leader for as long as I can remember. Just watch your line

I love how easy braid is to deal with as far as line management issues, but for slack line presentations I believe FC is the undisputed champion and is worth dealing with the issues that come with it. That said, if you go this route, spend the extra money on a quality line and make sure you're spooling the proper size - if this is on a spinning set up, you're going to want nothing bigger than 10lb, preferably 8lb. Tatsu is hands down the favorite.

I catch a lot of fish up north on 6 lb floro.  The lightest line that can do the job is the best answer.

Anyway, to answer the question... 14# flouro on baitcasting setup.

Quality nylon if you don't like Fluorocarbon and can dedicate a rod.
