I think it's a must have - plus I think it "finishes" the look of the boat. Also the glove box storage in it is Cavernous A-Jay Quote

Sorta like 4 wheel drive, there when you need it! Also, will take some HUGE waves to pull that Fortrex out of the water with that 60" shaft. Have 52" on my Champion now and it's never come close but I don't often run into anything like one might on the Great Lakes. Thought I might regret that longer shaft but now would not want it any shorter. Nice job setting up your boat! 1 Quote

You'll get in many more casts when those fifteen minute, 2.9 mph runs get reduced to a minute or two. You'll also have the benefit of history, when you've found those tiny patches of fish holding bottom in your canoe that you would miss because you pass them faster than the blink of an eye in your new boat. Didn't care for it. So when it came time choose a place to retire, I made a choice that took that scene completely out of play. I do have a bit of snow but some decent smallmouth fishing. Even if you pay up front? The "boat garage" is the way to go, and I'm really bummed for you...in PA, you've gotta have another 8-10 weeks of open water, don't you? Quote

Starts at the end of September and last day is October 27th this year. It has to be picked up by the first week in April. You have to schedule a drop-off day. I think they plan ahead of time where your stuff goes to maximize storage in the barn. We have lots of open water left. Sometimes there's open water on one river or another all year, especially below the locks. Quote

I've only tried it twice, it's almost exclusively walleye fishing...something I lack the patience for. Quote
