Nice rig!  I'm curious about the passenger console, is that available as a factory option or one of your custom requests?  I like it!

The Removable passenger console is a standard Lund option on the Pro V Bass.  I think it's a must have - plus I think it "finishes" the look of the boat.    Also the glove box storage in it is Cavernous

Yep.  I prefer the dual also, most of the time.  Mine have not been removable but having that option would be nice.  Sorta like 4 wheel drive, there when you need it!

Also, will take some HUGE waves to pull that Fortrex out of the water with that 60" shaft.  Have 52" on my Champion now and it's never come close but I don't often run into anything like one might on the Great Lakes.  Thought I might regret that longer shaft but now would not want it any shorter.

Nice job setting up your boat!

Thank you ~  and although it comes out I don't see me removing it either.

Congrats.  You're going to be amazed at how many more fish you will catch in a day.  You'll get in many more casts when those fifteen minute, 2.9 mph runs get reduced to a minute or two.

You'll also have the benefit of history, when you've found those tiny patches of fish holding bottom in your canoe that you would miss because you pass them faster than the blink of an eye in your new boat.

May you make a "dream team" together.

@A-Jay you have got to move to FL man! I couldn't imagine putting my boat away for more then a weekend or so.

@DINK WHISPERER I know ~ but I played the 'board up my home, pack all my stuff & run from the Hurricane game", several times & for many years.

Didn't care for it.

So when it came time choose a place to retire, I made a choice that took that scene completely out of play.

I do have a bit of snow but some decent smallmouth fishing.

So I take it as it comes.

I'm starting the interview process for an upgrade to my 17' Mr. Pike.  Hopefully in 3 years, I'll be posting pics of my new ride!

@Further North ~ Venturing south of the border beginning of Nov.

Prefer to have her all buttoned up for the winter prior to my departure.

Why on earth would someone rekindle such an old thread? :D

Your guess is as good as mine.

But New Boat Day is always a good time.

And I have to admit to appreciating the walk down memory lane.

Despite the coincidental timing.

Mine goes to the fairgrounds on Saturday.  Drained the fuel last Saturday.  Sad days.

I'm hoping I can get six weeks...maybe seven...and living within a mile of the 45th parallel...I'd hope you can go longer.

That's the last day the storage facility is taking drop-offs.  Next year, I should be in a new home with a boat garage, so it wont get put away at all.

Bummer...really.  Curious...they absolutely, 100%, won't take drop offs later than that?  Even if you pay up front?

The "boat garage" is the way to go, and I'm really bummed for you...in PA, you've gotta have another 8-10 weeks of open water, don't you?

Yea.  There's a schedule from r dropping off.  Starts at the end of September and last day is October 27th this year.  It has to be picked up by the first week in April.  You have to schedule a drop-off day.  I think they plan ahead of time where your stuff goes to maximize storage in the barn.

We have lots of open water left.  Sometimes there's open water on one river or another all year, especially below the locks.

We have that up here too, on the Mississippi...about an hour and a half away.  I've only tried it twice, it's almost exclusively walleye fishing...something I lack the patience for.
