Would you guys suggest using a size 30 or size 40 Spro rat if I am not looking specifically for monsters but more for fifteen plus inch fish?

40, the 30 is tiny, not much bigger than a baby 1-.

Has anybody tried the chrome silver color of the Spro rat?  I was going to get the morning dawn color but dsg (which I have a gift card for) only has the size 40 rat in silver, but I can wait for them to get some other colors in if it matters much.

I have the 50 version ive caught bass from 1 pound all the way up to 6 pounds most fish i do catch on it are 2 and 3s but im upgrading to cl8 big possum its body is 8 inches long with the tail its a total of 16 inches long the state record is only 10 pounds something oz here in idaho but im getting greedy i really want a 8 pounder ive seen them but miss hooksets, followers, and they see you before you see. them i just got to keep putting in my time and i will have a new pb

I know it wasn't on your list but you should definitely look at the gantarel full size and jr. They have great swimming action and catch a ton of fish. You can fish them super slow or burn them back to the boat without them turning over. I have been pitching the jr size along docks and bass can't resist it. I have one I fish shallow and one with some suspend strips on it I fish a bit deeper. Both are an amazing lure. Best part is they don't break the bank

I have not fished the chrome. That's probably the last color I'd choose (and obviously the same can be said for people in your area).

I have the natural brown color i tend to keep to match the hatch colors and white and black but there is alot of hype i hear about the mourning dawn if i do pick up another one it will be in mourning dawn

Thanks guys!  It turns out I just found a place with the morning dawn color, and I am looking forward to trying it out soon.  I will try to remember to post how I like it, sorry I asked so many questions that must have seemed pretty obvious to you but thanks for helping me out anyways!
