Hey all,

Just putting it out there... Isn't this local forum a little large? Seems like a local forum shouldn't stretch from as far south as MD all the way to Maine and from the coastal waters of the Atlantic to the great lakes. Its such a large, and more importantly, diverse fishing environment.

My two cents

Make a local thread. There's some very long running threads in the Central forum for more localized areas, even specific lakes.

I tried to bring this point up with the Admin about 4yrs ago.. no such luck..  I agree with you.. Our Maryland thread is YEARS old.. not suppose to work like that and it makes it very hard to keep up..

Just go with the flow and start a new thread..

It is what it is..

It's pretty easy to preface a title with the state or area you want to use.  I've been all over the "northeast," as defined in the description, and really there's not much difference between the states, just the timing of seasons and their patterns.

I've sort of hoped for a 'Mid-Atlantic' region to be carved out one day...NC, VA, MD, WV, PA, DE, NJ shares a lot of fisherman...It's not uncommon to actually see boats from most (if not all) of those states in one day during the spring on the Potomac ;).  As someone that's bass fished from FL up through to Ontario, I'd argue that the 'Mid-Atlantic' region is relatively unique when compared to the true southeast and  true northeast...Just my opinion though.

Not my site though, so I'll continue to happily use it as is :).  You gotta draw the lines somewhere, if it were changed I'm sure just as many people would want it changed back.

I totally agree Ohio posts are almost impossible to find.

Start using "Ohio" in the title. :)

Yes, of course it should be broken up in to smaller more manageable geographic areas. What I assume the admin(s) are trying to avoid is a bunch of dead sub-forums for areas that have little traffic.

I don't love the arrangement, but then I don't have to put any effort in to keeping this site running.

Plus, according to the reporting, very few members actually use the forum categories as an entry point.  The View New Content and personalized streams are what almost all prefer, except in a couple cases like Off Topic and Flea Market.

As a mod, more sub forums is the last thing I want to see.
