Checked out the deals at the Ollie's in my area but those Lucky Craft are marked $6.99, still a fair price but not anything I'm cleaning out racks for. In fact I left empty handed!

I went to our local Ollie's and checked out the lucky Craft. I also left empty handed. They also had a bunch of Arashi square bills for $3.99. I good price but I didn't need any. I don't know why they discontinued them. I have had pretty good luck with the ones I have used. I guess we both beat the bait monkey.

Man - something is a littlke wonky when stacking the 10% wi the 20% code.  I'm adding stuff to my cart and it is applying a discount, but it's more like 8%, then taking the 20% off of that.  Still, a better deal than the straight 10% or 20% alone.

Sadly, the 20% off code isn't valid anymore. 

 

Probably a good thing. I was just about to order a 4th reel in the past few weeks.

Crap - it was valid for me earlier when I was pricing stuff out when I posted earlier.  I took it out of my cart to check the price on something else, and now it doesn't appear to be going back in. 

 

Looking at the reddit threads in r/Gundeals it appears a lot of people are getting cancellations on the stacked coupon codes, and CC2018PCT quit working at all earlier.

 

My order back earlier in the week for 3 Ploppers and a box of .40 FMJ, I already have 2 of the ploppers, but there's still one that is "Submitted" status, and my box of ammo is the same.

yes, Walmart has been having a lot of fishing tackle in there clearance section.  I bought up a lot of the owner offset worm hooks for a dollar a pack.  They also had Zman crawdadz greenpumkin orange claw 10 pack for 3 bucks (I only see them in 6 packs and not ten packs) I don't know if they pulled them from other stores because, I haven't seen them at that particular store.  I also picked up two packs of mustad KVD duo-lock snaps 25 pcs for 50cent.  Right now they have a lot Mustad KVD hooks but, they still want three bucks for em, I'm cheap ill wait until they go cheaper

Interesting. I used the 20% off on 4 Ploppers, and got them yesterday.

 

I then placed another order few days later using the 20% off. It took it. Got a bunch of Trick Worms, Brush Hogs and some line. Also an Abu Revo X spinning reel. Well, I got charged for the entire order. Yet when I got my shipping confirmation email, it doesn't show the reel. It better be in there since I paid for it.

They probably broke your order up by where it was being shipped from.  Check your order online and see what the status of the reel is. If something is wrong, call CS - see if they will slide you a discount code for the trouble.

The monkey bit me on the Academy whopper plopper deal. I just wish he had bitten me on Friday or Saturday when it was still 20% off instead of the 10% I got ordering yesterday but anyway, Phantom Shad 110, Yellowhead 90, Bone 90 and Sooner 90 will be headed my way soon :).

Yup. Looks like that's exactly what happened. They shipped 10 items few days ago and the other 2 will be shipped today. It didn't tell me that on my order status when I went to the site tho. I had to call to find out.

So....I never did get any notification about cancelling.  Checked my account and it still said 'backordered', but the item listing says "Sold Out."  Just got off the phone with them to voice my displeasure; one, about selling more inventory than they held; and two, about NOT notifying me that no reel would be coming - order should have been cancelled, not backordered.....that I am still in need of a reel.  CS was pleasant enough, but not particularly satisfying.

I was traveling this weekend and stopped off at an Ollie's to see if they had any LC baits as reported. Sure enough there they were. So if anybody is in the Shamokin Dam area on RT. 11, they got plenty of LC baits. Sammies, crankbaits, gunfish, and pointers. Also I saw Arashi crankbaits for $3.99 to $4.99.

This may be a stupid question, but can anybody give a reason why these LC baits made in 2002 or maybe 2008 are somehow inferior to those made in 2018?

Not sure about inferior but they are cheaper  That is why I bought them.

Yeah, me too.  At one store Sammys and RTO 2.5s were on for $4.00 each plus 15% off.  I went a little nuts. They also had oddball baits like the Moonsault for $1.50.

Bass prefer newer baits. It's a scientific fact.

 

At least that's what I tell myself to justify all my spending.

I checked it out this evening. They had plenty of Lucky Craft lures but they were all $6.99 from what I saw. Also Senkos for $5.99. The rest were random Yum baits and and no name lures. I picked up two Lucky Craft lures to try because my 15% off was expiring.
