Seems like they should pay for return shipping.  I'd get back on the phone, and keep asking for someone above the person saying no.

Agreed,  If they want a broken rod back they should pay for the shipping.  Or they could refund you and let you keep the broken rod.

Definitely would go up the ladder on that one.

Agreed they should foot the bill for shipping and duke it out with their shipper - I had 2 rods show up broken from Dick's on the same day.  I called Customer service and they were creating me a shipping label for the return process before I asked if I could just order 2 more rods at the Flash Sale price (which was no longer happening) and return the broken ones to my local store and handle the refund there in person.  The CS rep put me on a series of holds, and came back with approval to do that - she had to go to bat to get me the former sale pricing.

For the Record - the 6' 10" Lews Carbon Fire M/F is a great all rounder for pond hopping - loads nice with little poppers and lipless, smaller jerkbait etc. At $79 retail I'd probably buy another - but finding it on flash sale for $39 was awesome.  Should have bought 2.

They still have them on sale for $49...not quite as good as $39 but still saving $30.

Just saw that Cabelas has the Motorguide Xi3 52lb on sale from $599 down to $525.  On top of that you also get a $50 rebate from Motorguide.  So tempting to slap a $500 trolling motor on my $2500 boat just for the wireless convenience...

Check your local Academy Sports stores for clearance items. I bought probably $300 worth of tackle for under $30. Trokar hooks, Strike King jigs galore, tungsten weights, Roboworms, Rat-L-Traps, trailer jack, hitches, etc. Most hooks and weights were $0.50 and under.

The pic is only half of what I came home with, including boat trailer stuff.

Wow, too bad there’s not one of those here in WI. In college and don’t have a lot of gear, but wanna try some new things!

tackle warehouse has its classic sale. 25% off certain items. You can find stuff, but it seems like stuff and colors they are stuck with. Will wait to use them in November and until then there are some better sales elsewhere. I told this to one of their operators and I hope that they have not so full of themselves that they continue with not the greatest sales. Once again, you can pick stuff, but I like the % across the board sales better.

This is the same crap they pulled on their 25 Days of Christmas sale...90% of the sale stuff seemed like the unpopular junk they were trying to get rid of...major disappointment! Seems TW is going the way of Bass Pro (remember when you could get awesome deals on brand name stuff at their Fishing Classic sale in February...now it's mostly their own house brand stuff on sale), shame!!!

Yep, it stinks because bass pros sales used to be amazing and now there might be like one or two actually good sales. Now tackle warehouse is doing it too, Disappointing.:(

TW 25% off does appear to include all available colors of Rage Craws.  $4.12 a pack

I have multiple packs of them. I did say that there were some things to buy, but I want to have a larger selection. I make a big order in this season. I have made 5 orders of 50-60 so far, but I have been waiting to make a large one. I can get 20% across the board elsewhere and it includes megabass and the other big brands. Tackle warehouse has gotten comfortable in their reputation as THE place. They have good people on the phone, even a wish list too, but not the good sales except for Black Friday. I just like to save money so I can buy more tackle.

I was really hoping the Simms Rain Challenger Rain Bibs in size Large would be included. Anyone know if they are on sale anywhere for any less than $199.99?

Fish and save has 1500 yards 10lb power pro braid for $59.19 a spool! Just ordered one I hope this deal isn’t to good to be true! Mainly gonna use it for dropshot or surf fishing! https://www.fishandsave.com/?&show_details=209060&cat=250&keywords=Power pro&manufacturer=Power Pro&sw=1

That is a pretty good deal! Too bad the lowest I usually ever go is 15lb (plus I think I have a couple spools of 10lb smackdown BPS had on clearance a while back).

I miss being around an Academy so much.  They always have great deals on end caps, etc, and sometimes the deals just get silly.  San Antonio, TX has I believe 7 Academies in and around the city.  I used to make Academy runs for clearance items and save an insane amount of money.  When I lived there for several years courtesy of the military, I was able to buy a life time supply of Southern Pro Hot grubs in my 4 favorite colors ( I crappie fish a lot too).  I'm not exaggerating when I say life time supply.  And never paid more than 50 cents a pack of grubs.

I wish there was one around here ...but the closest academy is 260 miles from me.

I don't know what's going on at the Lake Geneva WalMart, but I was traveling through the area and we decided to drop in. Glad I did because they were clearing out a ton of tackle including RageTail Rage Craws, Space Monkeys and Menace Grubs for $3 a pack. Grabbed the seven they had and then decided to check out their clearance isle only to find another dozen or so. I ended up with 12 packs and a bunch of tube jigs.@$.50, Mustad EWG hooks @$1 and some crappie jigs. When I got to the register, the Rage Tails rang up $2 :o. I was tempted to go back and get a few more, but momma just gave me that look and the monkey left for parts unknown.

 Neither of the 2 Walmart’s near me has had anything good. I’ve been checking in periodically the past few weeks and they barely have anything on Clearance. And the few things they do have in the clearance section are not marked down much at all.
