That's a long time to wait, lol. Looking to buy before ice out. Oh well. Ebay it is.

That's always my personal mental battle. Is the 10 or 20 bucks I might save on an order worth me not being able to use the baits until the sale, which might be in a couple months or more. I rarely have the patience to do that so I think the gift card + sale trick is most useful for buying bulk items that you know you will use, line bulk spools of line, hooks, split rings, other terminal tackle, and your favorite soft plastics.

Their rebate form appears to be the new $10 back promo from Berkley. Valid thru 8/14/18.

Last year the rebate specifically excluded Dicks & Field&Stream stores. It doesn't this year. ( There was the separate rebate for them).  Makes me wonder if we'll see that Dick's deal again.

But, one other bonus, looks like you can submit online this year.

Exactly. I looked to see when fathers day was for the deal mentioned above and was like "no way, not waiting that long". Guess that's part of the game when using good the better pricier baits. Especially hand made customs.

The BPS Spring Classic flyer is available.

Interestingly, some of the things I was looking at a week or two ago are actually marked UP in the Spring Classic flyer. One specific example is the Lowrance HOOK2 7x Tripleshot. Was $399.99 and is marked as $429.99 in the Spring Classic flyer.

I am also disappointed that the PQ2 reels will be $84.99. I was really hoping for something closer to $50-$60. Oh well, maybe a couple of deals will stick out at me yet.

BPS continually shoots themselves in the foot! Some of the major drawing power of their Spring Classic sale used to be that you could get awesome deals on a lot of quality stuff from reels and rods to lures and electronics but the past few years they have removed all of the name brand goodies and replaced them all with their own BPS brand and while some of their brand products are good most of them are a crap shoot so they are losing more and more customers each year because of that. The one silver lining was that you could always bank on getting a Pro Qualifier for about $50 and most people love those reels but now it appears even that deal is gone as nobody will make it a point to go to BPS for an $85 PQ2 when that's only like $10 - $15 off regular price...too many other options out there. I don't know if they have somebody new in charge of their marketing strategy but whatever it is it's not working like it used too!

Carbonlite 2.0 combos are $120. That can't be a bad deal. I know the 1st Gen Carbonlite reels had some reported issues, but I haven't heard the same for the 2.0. I've never used either one, but it can't be a bad deal, can it?

I felt the Carbonlite rods...they are really nice...I like the new guides that remind me of older Fuji Hardloy guides!

Any idea how the BPS Formula BC reels are?  I’m a sucker for cheap(er) equipment and $40 is right up my alley.   The regular price seems to be $70.  Since the PQ2s are nowhere near the price of the original PQ (during spring classic), these might be worth looking into, I guess.

They look a lot like the original PQs. I  am also interested to know if anyone has used the Formula reel. Can’t seem to find any reviews online.

eBay 20% code is running for President's day - as usual, only certain sellers are eligible, max discount of $50.

Can a coupon be used via the "make offer" option? I was just thinking about this...

Yeah, I can't remember exactly how to get to it.  American Legacy Fishing and Sportsmans Outfitters are there.

LOL, from the homepage just click on the 20% coupon link and all the sellers are listed below.

Yes -if that seller is part of the promo, and has a "Make Offer" option on their listing, the you and the seller agree upon
the price, then you apply the 20% coupon on top of that at checkout.

Yup: https://www.ebay.com/rpp/6191?_trkparms=%26clkid%3D1784195279199462790

Scroll down to the bottom of that page and there's a big list.

You can read around the forums - I bought a pair of Legend Royales last year with this deal - I think I paid like $28 each. I've used them a decent amount, but to me their braking system needs work. Mag brake didn't seem to affect anything on mine, so I rely on the centrifugals. (Also - is that common, having both types of braking system? No other reel I've owned has had both styles.)  Also - they will randomly make a loud cast, then be quiet as can be.  I've gone through both reels, and can't find anything that's causing it.

lucky there isnt any 6.2.1 speed available, only the high ones at 7 and 8 ratio.

However, I have been looking at the Daiwa Tatula Type R 100H . I just dont think I would like the T-Wings.  I like something that is round like this "O"

I dont think it can be beat at full retail. It is a beautiful reel that performs amazing. Glad I don't get paid this week or I'd have 1 or 2 more headed my way

Find the American legacy fishing store on eBay and look at the diawa casting reels. Only one I saw which is the one I got is the right handed 7.3 ratio. Then use the code for the final price of the 105 dollars.
