Trokar hooks are the sharpest hooks I've ever used.  Better than the Owner, Gamakatsu, Mustad hooks, but, the hook point is shaped like the tip of a three-sided pyramid so they slice through plastics easier than other hooks.  That being said I'll only use them if it's a situation where I know bites will be difficult to come by and don't want to miss a fish.

I may be in the minority, but I hate using trokar hooks, or any "cutting point" hook design. IMO they work too well, the hook penetrates and cuts so easily it will slice a bigger hole than a standard hook in my experience which for me has meant lost fish. Don't get me wrong, hookup is insane, but I have a few trokar war eagle spinnerbaits and I've lost way more fish on those than the standard mustads (I believe) they use, and the ones I do get in I have noticed do have a bigger hole in their mouth. I also have bad luck with the hook points rolling upwards.

No I agree with you on this one it's the reason I have switched all my straight shank flipping hooks from tk130 to owner jungle flipping hooks

Oops, I thought he said trapper hooks, partly cause that's whats on sale today for another sites 25 days of Christmas sales and I got them and tw mixed up. I've used trokar before, and like them in some situations but not others.

I saw that deal somewhere - it was on a previous generation Revo, not the brand new one.  Can't remember exactly where I saw it though.  Pretty sure it was for "Green" Monday.

It was posted last year...didn't know if it was found this year or not.

Right...only last year...someone posted a graphic here that had all of the windows opened all of the way through day 25...and we were only on day 4 or something.  It was a bit of cheat...but it was nice knowing ahead of times what day you didn't want to miss the sale.

They knew that I wouldn't be able to resist 20% off.

 

Now I have a shipment of bait arriving at my work because there's no way I'm going to try and explain ANOTHER tackle purchase this close to the holidays to a rage filled wife.

 

Plus the doctor I work for said it was cool to ship to the office anything I ever didn't want the wife to know about....so those are definitely making a covert entry into the tackle room.

Does anyone else seem to have a missing lure in a lot of orders they place at dsg? Ive spent a lot of money at dsg this year. But if products keep getting left out I may have to look elsewhere.

I bought a bunch of jerk and crankbaits during their Black Friday buy 4 get 2 free deal, and had no problems but I did get them shipped in a bunch of different packages/envelopes from all over the place. It definitely made it hard to track to see if I got my whole order.  Cabelas typically does the same thing since I think they use their stores as their distribution centers.

 

The thing I like about Tackle Warehouse is I always get it in the same package, unless something is backordered.

Yep - check your order page @ their website - I think they ship directly from stores that have the products in stock, so you could just be waiting on something to come from a different location.
