The PP has a better tip than the TV but more power. Definitely a must have out of the lineup. Should definitely be sticking around.

How does the PP hold up outside of short line situations? I'm looking for a jig rod that can handle both pitching and dragging footballs deep... Currently using a Phenix Maxim 7'3" H EF, and it didn't have enough feel for deep stuff so i'm considering downgrading it to a frog stick

I got the same answer, which you know is BS. The page is already live on the website.

Yep, I saw that page too. I am not able to use the html code to reveal the sales yet but hopefully I will be able to when they release the first sale.

This is the same 25 days of xmas page that's been used for 2 years. It's never taken down. The TW xmas page from 2012 is still viewable. It's not this years page and there is no way to view future items yet until the sale is published.

For those wondering how to do it, it isn't rocket science. When the actual 25 days of xmas page goes live, in chrome for example, you can right click on any door and inspect in image source. It will reveal clickable hyperlink to that says sale. Click the link and a new window will open /w the image/text of what you will see that day when the door opens on the actual TW site.

In recent years the sale has usually started late first week of December. There are items that are usually always on the sale like Seaguar X% off, Rico blems, and TW apparel but for the most part the sale is just large discounts on already on sale items.

I use mine to pitch to cover, frogs, and c rigs. I don’t fish water over 20ft so my experience is limited but it works well for 1/2oz jig with trailer in 20’ of water.

I'm in the same boat, so to speak, depth-wise. I just moved to an area where deep fishing seems to be the status quo

I went in to my local family owned sporting goods dealer to get a new mountain bike seat for my son and walked out with two Tatula CT Type R's.  They were on clearance and I was able to apply a preferred customer discount which dropped them to further to $87.99 apiece.  Not bad.

That's awesome.  Love my CT-R.

I have a 20% coupon for Shimano.

Plan on buying the Aldebaran reel. Anyone know of any way to beat that discount before I purchase, or any reason to wait?

DSR is softer and works great as a big single hook rod. I also throw the plopper 110 on it a lot. I’ve used it for tubes with 1/8 jig head and weightless 5” senkos. Works good for squarebills too. It has enough backbone for lighter bottom contact stuff also. Though the emtf is a better choice for that technique. The SBS has a faster taper and makes a good all purpose rod that’s under 7ft. It’s like a shorter emtf to me. I’ve used it for everything mentioned above at one point in time. I like it so much I picked up a second one a couple months ago. If I had to pick 4 must haves to cover my bases in my area they’d be...

perfect pitch

emtf or sbs if you prefer shorter rods

dsr

jbs

Just out of curiosity, but in a pinch how would the DSR handle 110s?  Thanks!

I would say ok if you don’t mind a 7’2 rod to do so. Way too long for me but if you back the drag off it should be fine.

Adam do is the diablo more or less powerful than the dobyns 704 you had. Balance wise I believe the XX might be a bit better?

Probably a dumb question, but is there a difference between the NA and JP versions? Sorry new to all of this.

You don't get the NA warranty if you buy from Japan. Reel features are the same.

Power wise I’d say they are close but the dsr has a touch less power, or at least it feels like it due to the softer taper. Iirc mine balances on the edge of the cork lockdown nut. I can verify that tomorrow.

Thanks sir. Looking for something between a 3 and 4 power champion. I was late to the party when the JDM XX went on clearance last year. I think I'm going to pick up the diablo when TW has them in stock this week on the 4th or 5th. They already dropped them to match the tackletraps prices.

I wish there was more info out about the new XX line.  I really want to give the Perfect Pitch a go but I feel like it's better to wait and see what the new ones are like.

From what I’ve been told by an insider is the rods will stay the same except the guides. They will take away a few models and a few models will be added. If you wait you’ll be paying full price for the same rod basically.

I’d say it definitely falls in between a 3 and 4 power. I believe TTT has them in stock now. Great guys to deal with.

Had one in my cart and was adding some hedgehog prom dress parts to the cart at 8am this morning. Rod was in stock when I added it. Sold out when I went to check out 20 minutes later =( . Definitely prefer ordering from them. Great guys to deal with.

Not helping dude!  I do hope they add some 1/2 power rods to the lineup, a full cork finesse rod at that price point would be a realease day buy for me.

I have a small pile of rods I have been too lazy to sell and ship, if I can make myself sell even one of them I will grab a PP.  My rod rack is literaly full and getting another one would force me to fill it up as well.
