It is the 2017 models with the old reel seat. It seems finally st croix ltb across the boards are going to be marked down quite  a bit. Im debating if I take  gamble go there instead of doing st croix website. I have my eye on 3 rods 2 spinning and a casting rod. So the question becomes which one or maybe both

Ah, gotcha. I have one specific model in mind, and possibly a second. I'll be on the st. croix site when the sale opens for sure.  SFT is a 10 hour drive, tempting though it may be (I do have family in the area and friday off...)

In other news, Megastrike has 25% off thursday and friday with code BLACKFRIDAY2107 (don't know if the "2107" is a typo, but that's what the email said)

Those are pretty nice rods, and knowing they are made by the man himself and nfc. How do you guys think they stack up to the shimano g loomis GLx nrx?

Just came across a site called Tactical Wholesale, has Tatula MH 7’2” Regular for $93. That regular action in Japanese rods translates to a moderate fast which, if you believe Tim Allen, is the magic action for swimbaits and other reaction baits...

I have that rod and moderate fast is right on point. I use mine mostly for topwaters, spinnerbaits, smaller swimbaits.

So im gonna order two ltb rods from st croix on monday.  One will be a 7' 1" MH Fast for bottom contact baits.  I cannot decide on an action and length to use for my new spinning rod.  It needs to cover finesse techniques and walleye fishing (mainly finesse).  Opinions? Legend Tournament Walleye or Bass?

Would love to hear some opinions on this. Thinking about pulling the trigger on either the H or MH casting rod.

6' 10" ML/XF (drop shot), LTB would be my choice. I have that rod and it's a great rod for finesse fishing.

Like iabass said, they inly say that because they are not allowed to advertise the sale for those brands. I've bought stuff from Diawa and other "excluded" brands before and they always apply the discount anyways.

It looks like American Legacy is doing 25% of GLoomis and 20% Orchi XX rods tomorrow.

I am now worried that MB is going to discontinue the XX line, it's crazy how often they have been poping up onsale lately.

I don’t get how the TW Black Friday sale works. When I google it, a version of their home page with a big Black Friday ad appears but when I click on the ad, no email linking to the $20 off sale is sent to my inbox. Do they juSt  apply the $20 off at checkout?
