I saw this sale and jumped on it. The hmx are on sale too. Picked up 2 extra spinning rods for 47$ each, normally 89$, and free shipping.

Which means FFO will have them by December and they will be even cheaper there.:)

I thought of that too, but decided It was worth the extra $20 at most to get a model I wanted right away and avoid a 4 month wait.  Ordered the 7'2" MH-XF caster monday night, supposed to show up Thursday.  :happy7:

Kistler has a deal until 8/12 where if you buy an Argon rod (around $170) they'll throw in a free Kistler Classic ($150 value).  Note that I have never fished a Kistler rod, just passing this deal along.

Does anybody know about a Labor Day sale at Cabelas?  I'm looking to place a big order (new rod, hardbaits, etc.) and want the get the best deal I can. Thanks

Posted

Cabelas has 660yard 25# spools of FC Sniper in Clear for $24.99.  I got the last In Stock spool but it says the item is Backorderable - might be worth a shot!

A bunch of stuff just went on sale yesterday. All their rods (arachnid, tournament zx, etc), some baits, etc.

Some really sweet deals on rods:

Fenwick aetos and hmg on sale for about half price on the Fenwick site

Powell max 3d 684(and others) for around 100 from Shelton

Daiwa tatula rods around 110 shipped from Sportsmans outfitters

It's actually sheltons outfitters. They also have good deals on their site on some reels and other rods. Quantum energy reels for 100 or so. Google sheltons and it should come up. They have several max 3d rods for that price, but the 684 is just a very sweet do it all rod

Tackle warehouse has a good sale going on the 13 *** rods. Best rod available for 200 bucks that I've used the *** green rods make excellent heavier action all around rods. I've used the 7'2" mh fast for everything from jigs, to big cranks, to swimbaits

The shimano poison adrena and g Loomis glx are being clearance out a lot of places so look around for deals on these

I just placed an order at berkley-fishing.com (pure fishing). They are having good prices on the havoc line (amongst other great deals) of soft plastics. I went through and purchsed a bunch of color options at $1.71 each. Not all colors are at this pricing, but plenty of selection. Ended up getting an assortment of pitboss (4" and 5", beat shad, and the federale 10" worms). Total of 60 baits (9 packages) for $21.50 including shipping. I really hate paying shipping online but at these prices it was worth the $5.

Nice, that's quite the score.

Nice! I'm a big fan of the havoc line. Not that I have really tried many others. Just no reason to yet. Plus their prices are always good.

Dicks sports has an online flash sale for 50% off pinnacle rods and reels.  I know they got good reviews from the moderators here.  It ends very soon though....think 10 pm eastern.
