Thanks a lot, Rapala.

They bought Terminator and Storm over the years too, and discontinued some very popular lures in the process.  I am not a fan.

Maybe they didn't sell well. The Envy I and II must have. Were those as pricey as these?

As soon as the full sale to Rapala was made they phased out several models. The Envys were one. Casting models have been pared down to the Defy, Meta, Muse, and Muse HD.

Spro has Fat Papa 55s and 70s for 4.00. McRips too. Several soft plastics are also dirt cheap on their site.

Walmart strikes again. Love the ol’ winter lure clearance

1-4 bucks for each lure. Whole haul cost me 70 bucks

If like me, you despise un-skin hooking skin-hooked plastics, then these might be the ticket if you have a closed-loop hook keeper or no hook keeper and have only used the typical all-plastic Fujis as found on TW and elsewhere. Why this particular model seems to be an overseas-only model is mystifying.

Amazon.com: Fuji Kogyo MHKM-R Multi-Hook Keeper, Red : Industrial & Scientific

How is this a sale item? Well, do a general search typed out using the 3rd picture down as a reference and you'll be shown a link for the auction site at 1/2 that price and free shipping. I was surprised by how fast they arrived from Singapore.

How do you keep the o-rings from break?  My only gripe with this type of keeper is how many of them I lose to the o-rings snapping.

Buy extras of the same size, lube them before installation, and swap them out occasionally or when you notice signs of degradation like stiffness. O-rings don't like UV.

G-Nius Project hook keepers that mount to the reel are awesome. No o rings and no keepers on the rod to catch line and scratch up.

ALF has Loomis GLX rods all around $300 new. Looks like Loomis might be refreshing the GLX line

Gotcha. I'm not sure on that, haven't tried it this time, but have in the past when they've run this deal and it worked for me then.

I have one of these in 7.5:1, and it casts great, so I went ahead and got a 6.8:1 when this sale hit. Solved my problem of having one more casting rod than I did reels.

Has anyone tried this rod? $60 is a good price point for me 😄 curious how it would compare to an airdx ? I'm really tempted to buy it and find out but would love any reviews.
