My Zillion from Midway showed up, just shipped in a bag, no padding or foam or bubbles, not even in the reel box.

 

For a $370 reel You'd think they'd package it a little better. Was open box but there were a couple dents in it (the box), don't know if that was before or after shipping.

 

Never had a reel this nice so even if it's not at 100% I wouldn't know the difference haha

 

Hope it blows me away regardless, thanks for supporting my monkey yall

Just got home and got a chance to handle this rod. Feels great. I haven’t fished It yet but It feels more like a heavy in stiffness which I like a lot. This will probably take up the duties I currently use my 7’3” MH Rebellion for. I like that it’s thinner than the Rebellion.

My 7'2" M Regular showed up Saturday.  Love the looks and feel.  Going to start with it as a treble hook/top water rod but we'll see if it transitions to more of a worm rod.

Academy has 20% off sitewide (25% when you use your Academy card).  I know about the exclusions, and use these flash sales to buy baits.  They still have old pricing on a lot of Zoom baits....was able to score 6 colors of trickworms for $3 a bag after discount.

They rename Zoom colors, and the pictures aren’t great, so it’s really hard to tell what you’re getting sometimes. They call this one “green medium 06”.

I was going to get a spool of PowerPro 10# Hi-viz yellow, and I saw a picture of it, clicked on it, added it to my cart, and then saw it said 15# in my cart. They don’t have 10#. They’re not out, they just don’t have it period.

 

 

I still ordered enough Zoom stuff to get free shipping. ?

I was going to say something about their Zoom listings and how you need to enlarge the picture to see what color it is.  Why they don't list Zoom's name for the color is beyond me.  A few colors are always a surprise because I can't tell exactly what color from the pic.  Regardless, I scored 31 bags of Zoom for $96

Just a heads-up with Discount Tackle. They jack the price up on a lot of their baits, so when they say 20% off, it's usually more like 15% off. For example, the Z-Man Mini Max retails for $8.99 at TW, Bass Pro and other places. At Discount Tackle they list it for $9.49.

I got my shipping confirmation from Academy, and it shows two items that are supposed to be black, according to the picture and the item description, but the confirmation lists one item as Mardi Gras (watermelon green) and the other as Pumpkin Chartreuse.

 

 

Customer service can’t do anything until I receive the package a week from now, and then all they can do is give me a refund for those items after return. The CSR was really nice and did all she could do to try and help and escalated the issue, but I imagine nothing will change.

 

I’ll still get free shipping and 20% off the other items, so I’m not crying. I just don’t think I would ever place another Zoom order online with them.

 

I don’t know any way to assure what color you are ordering from them. The real name of the color doesn’t show up in their system until it has shipped. Crazy.

Right, still a decent deal. But for people who aren't as up on this stuff will be paying more than they should when purchasing stuff when there isn't a sale.

 

Kistler likes to be sneaky, too. On their site, they do have some really good sales quite often, but they're never as good as they seem. On their site, the Helium lists for $400, whereas TW always has them for $300. They list the KLX at $300. On TW they're $250.

 

And yeah, Dick's is a joke.

Got my order and everything was the color I wanted! I was so expecting it to be wrong. Their system is still messed up, just not messed up so bad I had to return the order.
