The rod is a rod, its the TP1 black, like I said not a whole of of use, but it seems beefy, no leader knots though, microwave guides don't like those.

FWIW, that is my favorite line of rods. I have a TP1B69MLFS with a NASCI 2500 on it that's my problem solver finesse rig. I had a TP1B72MH that I used for jigs and weighted plastics. The tip broke in a weird accident that was 100% my fault, and Lew's still warrantied it for me. I wish I had picked a different rod for the replacement, but that's on me.

Comments: Great lure for chasing Crappie's in southern Iowa. I own all the colors and highly recommend them.

43 oz. You'd need a flag pole to throw that thing.

Pack it into a sabot and cast it out of a potato gun.

Midway order arrived today.

The Curado box is definitely a little worse for wear, but doesn't appear to have ever been opened. The seal was still on the box, and the reel is wrapped up like new. So I'm not sure what "Open Box" means at Midway, ha.

The 7'4" TFO Glass rod I ordered was the same. In a nice tube, wrapped up with tags, obviously never been out of the plastic. One bent guide, but I can massage that back into place.

I'll say though, the TFO Glass rod is not exactly what I was hoping for. It's the MH Glass, but it's a beast. like, I'm not sure casting a Frittside 9 is even going to load it up much at all. It's also anything but "parabolic". The taper is honestly way too fast for it's intended purpose IMO.

The blank also has a pretty noticeably curve to the right, so it's definitely not "built on the spine" (which I usually like my more moderate rods to be).

It was $70 though. So it is what it is.

@AmmoGuy I’m pretty sure my Midway “open box” reel is set to be delivered today but the wife is insisting on wrapping it for Father’s         Day. ☹️ I’m happy to hear it was packaged well.

The “star” of my Midway order has to be this knee-jerk two piece rod order. Rebellion 6’10” for $86.
(again an “open box” item but wrapped in original plastic with tags)

Im not sure why the Rebellions don’t get talked about much. This may be the nicest fit and finished rod I’ve purchased in a long time. It’s flat out beautiful in person.

No idea why I thought I needed a two piece rod, but I’m not mad about it.

DAMSON I thought I got a deal on this combo last year for $174.

At $113 that's an easy choice bro, reel feels real good in my palm - more like a 100. I plan to swap out the bearings to hybrid, only cuz I wanna, and its been more than reasonable in its behavior, pretty sure its just like many of the other LFS reels they got. I havent used it or the rod a ton, but the reel is in this years line up. Almost wish I didn't see this, I didn't get to use it much last year and certainly coulda waited for this deal haha.

I was planning on getting a shimano or Daiwa on the next worthwhile sale, but this might make me change my mind... but I have zero use for another rod- got some to build still.

bought 2 of these as well.  solid deal

So I received my Midway order on Wednesday and finally found time to give it a good look over. First off again thank you to those of you who posted about the offer and I cannot agree more that I can’t figure out what they meant by open box. The box is in perfect shape the paperwork doesn’t appear to have ever been opened the reel itself is flawless so again thank you all. Hoping to get some pictures in the tackle monkey thread.

This thread and post made me spend $95 on open box Rebellion 7’2 MH/F 2 piece casting. I don’t have a 2 piece currently so this is perfect for any traveling as it’s the versatile action. I have been wanting to try to Rebellion as there are minimal reviews.

NFC Edge rods is running a promotion on some series at 30 percent off and free shipping.  Coupon code is Bday30. That about $125 off an EVX Pro.  FYI.

If you have an Academy nearby, they have Perception Outlaw Kayaks for $549 with a $100 rebate. Thought that was quite the deal!

I'm a premium member, but didn't get the email. However, the code worked for me. Thanks.

Membership has it's privileges.  This is one of the better Omnia deals so far.

I think I’m going to use that omnia deal for Tatula rod. Trying to decide which power/action. Thinking just another Texas rig rod. Can always use those.
