Hmm. Have you bought Daiwa products from them in the past? I wonder if that has anything to do with it.

fwiw, I didn't follow through with the order but I loaded one into the cart and applied the code and it took $110 off. I'm not a premium member.

And it's 100% legit? It's not a Schimano Curadoo or something like that? And is it the US version or JDM?

It's a Shimano 70 MGL. The 150 MGL is about the same price. The Scorpion 70 predecessor is $135+-. Brian.

Tackle Warehouse has select models of the Savage Gear Black Ops casting and spinning rods on sale for $199 (reg. $299).  I picked up the 7'3" MH XF last year and was pleased the moment I pulled it out of the tube.  Roomiest reel seat in my lineup, and sports a 42T blank with Fuji K Titanium guides.  I added the 7'6"MH and 7-11"H a moment ago.

Thanks. I've never ordered from there so I don't know much about it. From things I've read since my post, it sounds legit as long as you go thru a reputable seller. How long in general is the shipping?

I got the 7'1 MH last year and absolutely love it. I honestly doubt I would've given Savage Gear rods a shot had Matt Allen not spoken so highly of this rod. I always like trying out new stuff and I'm glad I did with this. The tip on the model I got is just different. It's a 'softish' tip for being an XF, but it shuts down FAST.

FWIW , Duckett Fishing has buy 1, get two free on their Paradigm bait casters and  spinning reels. Popped up on my IG feed and I jumped on it.

I got two of the CRW bait casters and the SWx spinning reel for $200 + shipping. Total order was $213. MSRP used to be $199. Blowing them out before Icast I suppose.

Strike King Thunder Crickets bladed jigs are still on sale at Bass Pro. $9.68 savings of $3.31 per.
I just started using these this Spring and for me they are performing better than Jackhammers. Im throwing parallel to banks and ripping it through grass. The Jackhammers blade gets jammed with the grass and loses its thump

The local Karls brick and mortar store is about to run a deal where if you spend $175 you get a free pair of Mondo Optics and a free Googan Green rod.
I have never considered any Googan item but I bet a could find $175 in fishing shirts or something.
Think it’s a deal worth considering?

Everyone’s different. Spending money to “save” money rarely works for me. Unfortunately I have my share of stuff layin’ around collecting dust that I saved a bundle on. At 64 years old I guess you could say that I was a slow learner.
