Thanks for the heads up.  Just grabbed a Lew’s SP for $111.  Great deal.  Wanted to try one.

Lews Tournament Pro LFS $111. No lefties. If I was a rightie I’d get 2 of them.

Thanks for the heads-up. Got 2 Tatula 100's. A 7:1 and an 8:1.

Strangely, all three gear ratios were different prices. The 7:1 was $77. The 8:1 was $83. And the 6:3 was $128.

Great deal for a reel that retails at $170.

Holy cow. I've never seen deals on reels like Academy is selling right now. It's hard to resist a few of them. The Lews SP, Curado MGL, and Curado DC are soooo tempting.

I think I'll grab a Tatula at $77 though. That's crazy.

I didn't really need more reels at the moment, but that Tatula deal was hard to pass up. The Bait Monkey definitely had his way with me.

Same. I have more reels than rods right now.

But a Tat for $77? I mean???

That Lews TP for $111 is nuts too.

I WISH I needed a whole new lineup of reels, lol. Because now is the time.

And if you're a Rakuten member add an extra 10% off at Academy today. That is quite a discount on some items.

Does that really work? Trustworthy?

It for sure works. You have to decide if it's worth selling out your data. I figured they're keeping tabs on your shopping habits when you sign in into your account so why not save a little dough.

Those sales are wild. Ended up getting a Fuego CT, Falcon BuCoo SR Trapcaster and a Dobyns colt 734c for like $200.

Didn't exactly need but oh well. Fills a couple of holes in my rod lineup.

Ummmm...  Fuego CT's are $47.98. ?

Okay - I wasn't going to buy anything more this year - but that deal was too good to pass up.

One Fuego-CT HS on it's way to me - that gives me the full set of CTs (already have a 6.3 on my crank rod and an 8.1 on my frog rod).

Im actually pretty proud of myself. It could have been a LOT worse than it was.

Then again, the sale hasn’t ended yet. ?

Ha, I was in there today for a non-fishing item and wandered over to the fishing aisle because of course you will. The salesman kinda whispered to me that H20 Express rods were 30% off. There were no signs of anything being on sale that I saw.

I'm not really in the market but out of curiosity I took a couple of Shimano rods I've been halfway thinking about over to the price scanner and they came up at 20% off. Resisted today but will probably succumb to the monkey by the weekend.

Wow, a Lew's Tournament Pro at $111 is as good as it gets. If I didn't already have one I'd jump on that.

I just bought two Tatula 100 BC for $77 a piece. I wasn’t even in the market for these but the reviews are way too good for me to pass on 50% off. We get a lot of sales at 20% or so often but it’s rare to get 50%. I have two older reels that are showing age and this became a great reason to replacement them with a solid option.

I have two Tatula Elites so I am hoping this is a decent comparison. I don’t expect the same distance or fit and finish but these…are $77 and not $250. I got the 7.3 model which should be a good do it all. They’ll be going on a medium heavy/fast and medium/fast rods.
