In the past, they would take the discount off after checking out, e.g. your TW checkout would say $100, but the email invoice would be $85 on some of the excluded brands, such as Daiwa and Shimano.

Yep bought Daiwa SV105 reel and Shimano cumara rod and got the discount.

Academy's website says they're running a sale for on-line orders only through Wednesday. I can't  quite figure out the details but I put a couple things in the cart and it looks like they're taking off 10-ish%.

 

Some things appear to be labeled as "deals" rather than getting a discount. For example, certain colors of Yum Dingers are showing up for $1.97/bag.

So for brands such as Daiwa or Shimano you wouldn’t know if you received the TW discount until after you paid for it? Is that correct?

In the past it shows up as regular price when you check out, but when you get your emailed invoice it reflects the discount.

Past sales where they 'excluded' those brands.

 

Black Friday one year, they said Diawa wasn't included, but I got the discount on the Procyon rod I picked up.

Amazon is selling Soft Steel Transcend Braid (owned by Okuma), 1500 yard, 50 lb test, for $26. I think this might be a system mistake, as $26 should be the price for 300 yard.  

Also, currently Amazon is having a "$15 off of $25 order" sales for Amazon shopping app first time user, so it could bring the price down to $11 if you're qualified.  Here's the Amazon coupon link:

Looks like there are also some flatworms in stock on TW too. They are included in the 15% sale.

Placed a decent sized order at TW last night. Already shipped today. Impressive. Tho it looks like only about 3/4 of my order shipped. Does that mean the rest will be coming from the other warehouse?

Yes. I placed an order about a week ago that shipped a day apart: half from GA, half from CA. My order placed early this morning has also shipped. Glad to see it.
