Siebert still having a Winter Sale? Apparently I forgot to check out, and when I returned to complete the transaction the winter15(?) code was no longer valid. Do they have Christmas Sale as well a la TW?

Ended Nov 30

My Fury 704C sat in the USPS distribution center in Evansville, IN for a week before finally moving along...COVID is affecting everything.

Not too many years ago, I thought a tackle bag that held 6-3600 boxes would be MORE than enough.

Now I got 4-3700, 7-3701, and 11-3607 boxes divided up among 4 bags...and I'm in a bloody canoe. :jaw-drop:

Yea the rabbit hole is deep and slippery lol. I remember maybe 6 or 7 years ago I'd just go out with my 4'6" ultralight ugly stick, fishing a 5" stickworm wacky rigged on an EWG hook. I lost a lot of fish because of that combo lol, but have some great memories too.

A few years ago I tricked out a milkcrate to hold like 7 3700 size tackle boxes AND two deep 3700 boxes. Then it has basically a "wing" that has 5 rod holders, a net holder, and then the kayak itself has 2 molded in rod holders. I can bring almost everything I own if I want.

Mind you this is all in the back of a 50lb 10ft sit-in kayak ?

A lot of people. There were  stay at home orders right after BF and limited employees in CA at UPS. There's going to be alot of delays. Crappy timing...but it happens.

My fishing online order seems to be lost in the mail. Very disappointing as a first purchase. TW order just arrived...excited to fish a Dark Sleeper for the first time. I’m thinking it will be great in a weedy pond.

Well I can almost promise you that has nothing to do with the folks at Fishing Online, I have talked to some of them personally and they seem to be good people.  I have never had a problem getting my stuff from them!  That is on USPS!!  Also they are in PA so they are dealing with the same thing TW is with staffing.

I put in a Fishing Online order and got it within a few days.  I've ordered from them a few time and haven't had issues.  I wouldn't hold this one against them as they have a very solid reputation.

You are going to be disappointed in that Dark Sleeper in that scenario. They work much better in rock lake bottoms. When ive tried them in my ponds, Ive caught fish, but you're digging muck and gunk up with the lure. Its made to hop bottom.

So it's not just me. I got one but rarely use it anymore because it's too much work to keep clean compared to other baits.

I have found the same thing.  Need to go lighter than expected but then its not really doing what I want down there.  There a lot of better options to use for that application IMO.

Yep, disappointing. Caught way too much grass this AM for it to be worthwhile for my purposes.

Brianne in ops  has been working through resolving it. Strange that it was two separate shipments and issues on both of them. It’s on USPS.

I tried to buy a new Burris optic with it.  Didn't work.  Unfortunately they have a TON of exclusions.  Very disappointing.  Everyone is turning into Bass Pro.

Good reels. I definitely feel like it’s worth the jump in price from the regular president. They feel like two completely different reels. Much lighter and crisper compared to the president. I think a lot of that is due to the carbon handle.

I actually bought mine as a rare “downgrade” after I broke my Supreme XT. Not disappointed one bit.

I snagged one of these up since it was even lower priced than a standard President - $30 less than the non-LE XT. I think BPS is 'dumping' them to make room for a new model or something.

It isn't necessarily the retailers, it's the manufactures.  They have restricted pricing and it is a requirement of theirs in order for retailers to carry their products.   There are ways around it... Like how Tackle Warehouse offers gift cards at a 10% off or if the retailer offers a community day discount.

Anyone know of some baitcaster deals on amazon or other fishing stuff? Got a gift card from work, may just give it to my wife and let her use it.
