Last night, I tried to place an order of a brand rod, a brand reel and other lures from TW, trying to take advantage of Black Friday Sale. Every item was discounted at the checkout, sans the reel/rod. So I promptly dropped the non-sale items, and purchased the rest that were on sale. I thought everything on their menu was 20% off? What did I miss?

Some brands prohibit TW from discounting 'early' so they still show at full price in the checkout.

I had the same thing with my Diawa rod...showed full price right though clicking on 'Submit Order' - the order confirmation e-mail showed the discounted price...and it shows the same in 'Order History'.

Sale goes for another few days.

Anyways, got my TW email saying my order has shipped.

And don't sleep on Omnia Fishing (also 20% off). I think it took 2, maybe 3 days from the time I placed my order and when it arrived. I am only 1 state over tho. And they don't charge tax, while TW does (for WI residents at least). They also included a hand-written thank you note, and also wished me a Happy Thanksgiving. Nice little touch. This was my first time ordering from them, and won't be the last.

I might pop in there one day - they're just a stone's throw from my parent's place...25 minutes from me.

TW got hit hard enough that their server was non responsive several times. It'll probably take a couple business days to sort everything out.

That reminds me, I need to get an order into NFC before the end of tomorrow....

Yes, the prices on these two reels are very tempting. They're not the smoothest, but they are quite reliable, and perform very well.  Now my question is: should I buy these 2 reels, or save the money to buy 1 Stradic FL? It's pretty much the same amount of dough.

I'd get a Daiwa Ballistic, if I were you.

Worked for me on Megabass.  20% off $100.  25% off $200.  Use code CYBER2020

How I wish I had $150 to spend in Megabass ? Can't quite make it happen for this recreational angler...

On another note,

Garmin ECHOMAP UHD 93sv Fish Finder (010-02342-01)

Price: $699.99
Dicks Sporting Goods. I expect this to expire at 11:59pm PT Nov 30.

Wait, guess that isn't a good deal considering GPS Store has it for 599 haha

$100 is too much on Megabass for me as well LOL.  I picked up two vision 110's and a surf rod, which took the damage over $200 for 25% off.

Ballistic LT is basically Tatula LT with magseal. I don't know; I don't like reels that I can't service by myself.  So the choices are: 1. Tatula LT, market price ~$130;  2. Stradic FL, market price ~$150;  3. Vanford, market price ~$180.   I think Tatula LT has the best value among these 3 choices, but I really want to try the new Vanford.  According to Tackle Advisor on Youtube, Stradic FL is the best reel among sub $400 reels. I think that's a little overstatement; Stradic FL is much heavier than Tatula LT and Vanford.  I really value light-weight when it comes to spinning tackles.
