Now I'm really turned off to the Edges - way more expensive and holds less? I'm already cramming two of my ProLatch 3700s - so I'd have to add another box if I switched to Edge? Nope - not happening.

The jig box is very nice. I do get more jigs in other boxes, but like the way it organizes them. But if cramming as much crap in a box you can is your goal then even the jig box wouldn't work for ya.

But to be honest I think it holds more than 60 jigs and chatterbaits, if you need more than that, that is a bait monkey issue not an on the water need?

I like it without boxes - they always have xx50 boxes in the bags and I prefer to customize my selection.

Ordered one - Thursday delivery

I'm with you.  The boxes included with the bags are not what I prefer to use.  I can use them for other things around the house, but I don't need to pay for them.  I'm thinking I might order this bag.  Not sure if I need it though.

Because of the latch you do loose about 1/4 inch of space on the one end vs the standard 3700, but to me the advantages negate to minor loss in capacity. I honestly don't think I would ever notice the capacity loss but I could see how some people might depending on what/how you store items in one.

Being in a canoe I can carry two bags, one is plastics the other is everything else. Other than my crankbait box, every other box is 'mixed types'.

Jigs and chatters - okay, I'd fill about 1/3 of that box...meaning I'd have to add a box for the other lures that currently share a box with those two...and one of those would have to be 'loose' in the canoe. Looking them over more closely, the Edge boxes are also too specialized for how I carry my tackle

I agree. Also who doesn’t have 3700 or other size boxes lying around to fill this bag with?

This is a good deal. I like the plastic bottom. Helps keep stuff dry if the ground or boat bottom Is wet

I don't.  I use all 3600 and was considering moving to a 3700 bag for non-boater tournaments.

The St Croix Virtual Customer Appreciation Day email just went out and is live on their website.

https://stcroixrodfactorystore.com/?mc_cid=2eb5e8ac8f&mc_eid=a3553ba3a8

Today only, get a Daiwa Revros reel with some of their spinning rods.

Over the next few days they are selling B-Stock rods for 20% off.

Getting a rod for 20% off but loosing the majority of the warranty isn't enough to get me to bite. I was hoping for at least 30%-40% off.

ETA: their website is down right now from people overloading it.

The B stock prices are very disappointing. About 3-4 years ago I got a Mojo swimbait for 65 and an Avid X for 100. Seems like they have really bumped up the prices on the B stock rods.

20% off on B-Stock is pretty disappointing. I have gotten 20% off on new, full warranty St Croix rods several times this year. Including 5 minutes ago... Joe's Sporting Goods is having a Fathers Day Sale on select fishing items, including the St Croix 2020 Legend Xtreme I just purchased.

Its more than 20%. I got a $150 rod for $90 and a $220 rod for $132. Seems to be 40% which is 10% more than the usual 30% off retail for a B stock if you walk in the store any other time of the year.

And thanks for not posting this until it went live ?. I got what I needed before a lot of things disappeared.

So the b-stock sale seems to be on top of b-stock prices, which means you can get bassX rods for $66-$72 or Mojo for $85-$90. All told about $50 off which is a pretty solid sale.

It must have adjusted it since this morning. Sometimes I am really good at finding the "problems" when things go live for sales ? I was only looking for a Legend Xtreme and they only had the older non-2020 in B stock so I didn't go much further then that. Looks like they still have a bunch of B stock rods available and the price is better then what I first saw so hopefully people are able to find a deal on what they are looking for.

Dont feel bad, The 2020 Legend Xtremes AGS rods are out of stock nearly everywhere, I managed to get 6 of them before they sent out stimulus checks to those people, and alot of anglers I'm sure bought up all my Legend Xtremes Lol!

By the time I was able to fish them all extensively and knew I wanted more they were out of stock, now I gotta wait just like everyone else for more to become available, I was able to find one more 6ft8 medium extra fast spinning last week and a 7ft Medium Heavy fast casting last week, but it's the 6ft10 extra fast spinning that's is really special.

It's like scooby doo "And I would've bought more if it weren't for those meddling stimulus checks!"

I guess deals weren't horrible depending on your point of reference. I got a couple of nice sticks for 50 percent or more off which I thought was fair with the 1 year warranty 3 to 4 years ago. Today's prices flipping through most of them, I saw some Avids for low 100s but they didn't hit my buy price. Glad you found some good deals:) I also got a couple of Dobyns new in the 40 percent off sale, so I was able to be picky or I may have grabbed a couple of Avids that were under 130.

That’s weird. It was there this afternoon. Hope they honor it. I would call them. It was 20% off of almost everything.

That is odd, not much is on sale now. I wonder if they "got in trouble" because I know some brands cant be lower then their MAP pricing so the might have had to end the sale on those items early. St Croix lays the hammer down all the time on "sales" at many places.

They will, they already shipped my order. They often have 20% off sales on many items with MAP pricing in store (might still) and not always on their website. They probably just ended the online sale for Daiwa.

Their Fathers Day Sale banner has this at the bottom.

Quote

Excludes: Rods, Reels, Combos, Marine Electronics, Trolling Motors, Ice Electronics, Ice Augers, Ice Houses, Kayaks, Canoes, & Gift Cards. Other exclusions may apply. Please see store for full offer details.

I think maybe they realized it would be too much money knocked off for high priced items.  Darn I was really hoping to get a Diawa Tatula LT 20% off or more for Fathers Day since I got screwed on the Stradic CI4+ Bass Pro deal.

I was just going to say look at the bottom of the banner. I got excited and headed straight to the rods and reels then saw the banner again. I guess only baits are discounted? Maybe pliers? ?

Not sure how long the sale is on for, but Kittery Trading Post has a buy 3 get 1 free sale going on with their lures, including Megabass. There is still a pretty good selection of dark sleepers and some of the more popular oneten colors.
