Yeah, the monkey got me for a few of these too.  In my opinion, these are some of the best bass plugs ever made.  I got a few RS Shad Raps too - suspending...

If anyone has a local Academy Outdoors, their clearance items are now an additional 75% off. I found a bunch of older model rods for cheap. Really happy about the St. Croix rod for $14.99 and the various All Stars for $7.99. Several versions of the purple All Star rods rang up anywhere from $7.99 - 79.99. Majority of the models were $14.99. I should make the ol' lady happy since she is getting a few of the purple rods as part of her arsenal.

I have the green rod from the year model before it and it's my favorite jig rod. I figured these would be pretty good too.

I just left Academy and didnt find any such deal. Go away..

These weren't marked or placed in the clearance section. I just happened to scan one of the rods and saw that it was part of the sale. Then I started searching the racks for any other unlabeled clearance item.

All Academy stores are different. Literally all the ones up in my part of the city, about 8 that I can get to within a 40 minute drive, had no good rod or reel deals this year. Last year was a different story. There was one that was almost an hour away that had some G. Loomis and Dobyn's rods on clearance but not as low as some of the others had them. This one Academy for some reason has the largest supply of freshwater fishing inventory in this part of the state. It is all variable and also depends on if the store caters more to suburbanites and their tastes or more for the hunting or fishing market. I will say that the ones that also cater to saltwater anglers typically have some of the best selections.

I use one of the flat heads in the pouch set.

A small Phillips screwdriver is what I use. Doesn’t even have to be precision small.
