Ok guys, maybe I missed it or something, but ebay keeps prompting me with a 10% off coupon, they even teased me to get 30 bucks off a 300 dollar Lowrance unit I was looking at... Anyone else seeing or using this coupon?

A lot of ebay's current discounts and percent off coupons like that are now targeted to the user, and appear to be based on shopping or search results.

I just checked my account and in the app - sometimes the app has different app-only offers - I don't have an offer like you mention.

Wife took me to an estate sale after we left the Fishing Expo and BPS today. I had to go back to the Expo to get something I should have bought yesterday and then to BPS to exchange her birthday gift for another size.

The estate house is 7,700 square feet on a lake and they have some top of the line items for sale. Beautiful home with beautiful furniture, pictures, lamps, silverware, etc.

I could not locate any old or new tackle or rods/reels, but hanging against the garage wall were seven old rods and reels. So I walked over and looked that them, somewhat depressed that all the good stuff was sold yesterday, and to my surprise there was a dirty Shimano 1500 Symetre reel on an old Ugly Stick for $20.

With the prices discounted 25% today I picked up the rod and reel for $15. Once home I cleaned it up and it runs perfectly. An excellent addition to my spinning reel collection. And the rod is in excellent condition for one of my grandkids to use.

So other than what I bought at the Richmond Fishing Expo from Bobby Uhrig at the MegaStrike booth and a 400 pound rated magnet to drag on the bottom to see what you can dredge up for my grandkids to use when they visit, I did pretty good this weekend.

And the David Fritts seminar was excellent, too.

Hope some of you guys and gals in Virginia and DC had a chance to go to the show.

@pauldconyers   My buddy's grandpa (who taught me most of what I know about fishing) lives near Simmons and has gotten me several items and reels rebuilt there over the years. He always spoke very fondly of Mr Sullivan that worked there

Ha, I just ran across them on ebay a couple weeks ago and ended up winning an auction for a brand new Pflueger Patriarch XT casting reel for $78...$91 with tax and shipping. I was so pumped last year getting one for $99 when Pflueger had them on closeout, I didn't think I'd ever beat that deal. Fast shipping too...nothing but positive things to say.

I saw that they have the Revo Toro Beast for $200 instead of $400.  This makes for a monster of a Swimbait reel.  For as big as it is, it's really smooth and is probably overkill for bass fishing but it sure is fun.

I went to the fishing expo at Doswell first thing Friday morning. Heck, we were so early we had to wait 15 minutes for the doors to open. Got some good things and looked at the Vexus and Polar Kraft boats, but the best deal was a handful of Jack Hammer chatterbaits for $8 each. New ones, not used.

I would have snatched up All of those jackhammers for $8 - great deal!  I have 10-20 of them on my pegboard for next years season and they start to add up in cost.

Man that's an insane find, I'd have bought every single one they had lol.  Love those jackhammers
