Does anyone know if the LTBSAVESQ1 code works during the TW 25 days sale?

In case anyone has orders left to place, this code is active and working.

Question about the 10% off TW gift cards.

The site says this: Electronic Gift Card Discount will not be reflected on your order at the time of checkout. Your discount will be reflected on your confirmation e-mail.

Well, I got my confirmation email but the price doesn't reflect the 10% off. Is this normal?

Once it gets approved,  you will receive your gift card number along with a corrected invoice reflecting the 10 percent discount

Yep you get like 3 emails about it, assuming you bought it for yourself. The 3rd email gives you the number and password to use. Usually get it 1 to 1.5 hours after ordering it.

In my case, I got only one email to confirm the order but no follow ups.  I waited for two days and then called TW.  They sent me another email with the number and password while I was still on the phone.  So call them if you don't get a second email.

Yup. This is exactly what I did this morning.

I don't buy a lot of stuff from Cabelas as it's mostly overpriced and I try to support my other local independently owned bait shop here in town. I have about $200 in gift cards to Cabelas from the Holidays.

I know they have a Spring fishing "classic" sale but don't remember the specifics on what is on sale. I know I usually see the BPS brand rods and reels on sale but do they mark down Shimano or Daiwa reels? Trying to decide on whether to wait and buy a new DC reel until Spring or go ahead and do it now.

That is usually the time they will mark down the close-out namebrand stuff.

Id save them at least until the ad comes out.

I would just keeping checking the bargain cave online periodically as well. There some crazy deals to be found at times.   Almost like they mismatch things.  I bought Abu Garcia premier reels a couple months ago for $99.  Supposed to be $300.  I have never had a Revo reel, but thought I would try them for that price.  So you have to be selective at what will be on sale.

Some of their reels will be marked down. This is when they have reel trade in days where you get so much off depending on the cost of the reel. I am not sure about Daiwa but if my memory is correct Shimano was not discounted or included in the trade in program.

Shimano has been included in the reel trade in the last few years.  Last years included all reels

I feel the same way about BPS/Cabelas. For what it's worth the Cabelas Advanced Angler II series of bags (green) were recommended to me here and are well thought out and super durable. I was upside surprised, especially at the price point. The BPS blue worm binders are the same.

I'm probably one of the ones who recommended it. I got a 3600 size last year and it was my main bag - this coming year it's my plastics bag...and it's stuffed. Darn good bag, and affordable too.

I have one of these bags as well and love it, I use it as my “house to car” bag and would agree on both the well build and well designed points.

I also have some Cabelas’ sun gear that I really like, a hooded sun shirt and a few of their buffs.

I have every size, 3500 up to the super ridiculous which ended up being too much. Getting it into the boat when it was on the trailer was a two person job.

The magnum is my vacation bag now, 3500 is the river bag, and the 3600 has pvc pipes in it to make a hanging bait bag. A deep 3600 box sits on top of the pipes to hold more tackle. They are great bags and seem to hold up really well. Only complaint is the 3500 bag doesn’t have the waterproof bottom for boat trips with wet carpet. They also go on sale fairly often as well.

I've up-sized over the past year. Started with just the AA-II 3600, added a Plano Weekender for plastics. Shifted the items from the 3600 to a BPS Extreme Qualifier 370 and the plastics to the AA-II 3600.

Why the BPS EQ-370 instead of a AA-II Magnum? The Magnum stores the boxes long-side up and it wouldn't fit under the work-table in my canoe. The EQ-370 stores them short-side up and fits under the table.

This one's been pretty broadly advertised on deal forums, but if anyone's interested, there's a Stradic FK 2500 at Cabelas for $136.  Not a super-slick deal, but I've got 2 of these, and I think they're pretty decent.

The slickest way to order on Cabela's Bargain Cave would be buy one of those $100 Cabela's gift cards on eBay around $80~85, and then apply for a Cabela's credit card, which occasionally gives you another 10% off while using it to check out.

Amazon has Sufix Castable InvisiLine Fluorocarbon, 6 pound, 600 yard on sale for $28. I bought the #8 yesterday for $12, but it's sold out now.

Also, one of the eBay sellers has a lot of tackles and lures on 50% off, including Fishhead underspin, Strike King jigs, Rage Craws, etc..  I purchased some football jigheads from them several times; it's trustworthy.

Great deal. I got one for $65 last year on eBay when I caught some dudes sleeping on an auction. They are good quality rods.
