Went to add to my cart. Still showed the $99 price. When I went to "shipping", the price changed to $189. I think they messed up on their end and just corrected it. You guys got lucky!

BTW, the description said 6.1:1, but the model number listed is the 7.3:1. They don't make it in 6.1, but they do in 6.6:1. So I wonder which one it is.

Either way, great deal.

Edit-Now it says out of stock.

Did you run into the same issue I had?

I know.  I only grabbed 2 because I figured if I did more it would tip them off or something. Glad a few of you got in on it.  I know some people buy like 50 of them and then re-sell them.   That annoys me.  I would rather have actual fisherman grab good deals.

Cabelas deal is now out of stock and over. I found a Simms jacket at TW the other day for like 1/2 off and later found out it seemed to also be some sort of price mistake. These happen pretty rarely, sometimes you get lucky, sometimes the place will also cancel the order. Always worth a shot. I'm a lefty so couldn't jump on the Cabelas deal, but then again I just bought 3 reels over black Friday, so I'm pretty maxed out right now!

Greensburg, PA Gander Outdoors 50% off.

Looks like this one won't be getting RV sales either.

I don't think they were supposed to show all the deals yet, they are supposed to be revealed each day!

Or maybe they just gave up because people kept hacking it

It is almost always cheaper on Amazon.

And sometimes it's crazy cheap.

I like the fact they opened the 'doors' - now I can plan on when to get the Aird-X to replace the Ugly Stick. Long as the Aird-X is included with the 'selected' Diawa rods on the 20th.

Aird-X are not listed as one of the selected rods. You can click the image and it shows you what will be on sale.

I agree I am glad they made it so we could see what was on sale ahead of time.  That way I can plan what I need

Unfortunately I am sure I know the answer to this but the only way to get that daily special is to ACTUALLY PURCHASE it on that day, correct? What I mean is I always like to plan ahead somewhat to make sure my TW purchases are over 50 bucks so to get free shipping. There are items on sale today I would like but they do not eclipse the $50 mark. There are items I want on the 16th as well. I would rather not buy say 5 different items throughout the length of the sale and have to purchase them each individually on their day and have 5 separate packages and pay 5 shipping costs. Anyway to accomplish this?

Another option is to wait for TW to offer their 10% off gift cards, then buy it with the GC.

Even with the 10%, I can get it cheaper on Amazon - or even cheaper at the local Fleet Farm...$39.95 for the 6'6 M/F

I forget if they end on the sale day or not...I actually have never bought anything during their 25 day sale other than the 10% off gift card offer. I think their 20% of BF deal is the best, stacked with a prior year 10% off gift card.

That being said, I think your only bet to accomplish a single transaction with free shipping for $50 is to hope that they do not end until the 25 day sale is over.

OK then an even better option is to buy the 10% off GC then wait for next year's BF 20%. :D

Support your local tackle shop and get it for the $39.95, Amazon and TW charge sales tax in most states now anyways.

Fleet Farm isn't a 'local tackle shop'...it's a regional (upper midwest) "sell everything" store - think of it like a cut down Home Depot and add horse riding equipment (they sell saddles and other tack), hunting and fishing gear...etc-etc-etc.

The sale price remains throughout the 25 days. The stock, however, may not.

In years past, once a door is opened, that sale stays going until all 25 days are over with.

*edit- Dirtyeggroll beat me to it.
