Am I just mis-remembering or last year did TW have have a December Christmas deal where every day there was a different item on a big sale?

It'll start a day or two after the Black Friday sale ends...which is tomorrow.

Not sure if this is off topic here but not sure where else it would fit in at. Is anyone having trouble checking out at bass pro? I go to my cart an click checkout an I get this error message" Error:A generic inventory system exception occured. The exception is as follows: "There is an outbound service error when processing."

Is anyone else having these issues? Tried from my phone an regular PC.

Have you tried calling them or live chat? Brian.

Tried calling ( waited on hold for 20min. for the guy to say he didn't know an just keep trying.) didn't see the live chat option till just a little bit ago an it was past 10 so i'll have to wait till tomorrow. I don't think anything I wanted was on the cyber Monday except 5x points. Rest of the stuff looks to be on sale rest of week.

Not sure if this is a dup, but Sierra Trading Post has some great deals on a few St Croix rods:

Avid-X 7' Med casting $130 (also MH for same price)

https://www.sierra.com/st-croix-rods-avid-x-casting-rod-medium-7-1-piece~p~859fu/?filterString=s~croix%2F

Legend Glass 6'10" M casting $150 (also 6'10" MH and 8'8' H)

https://www.sierra.com/st-croix-rods-legend-glass-casting-rod-medium-610-1-piece~p~859fk/?filterString=s~croix%2F

Mojo Glass (multiple) for $100

https://www.sierra.com/st-croix-rods-mojo-bass-glass-casting-rod-medium-heavy-74-1-piece~p~859fv/?filterString=s~croix%2F

Under the product descriptions for these rods, it says "2nd" or "2nds". I think that's the very subtle way for Sierra to say it's B-stock. Very easy to miss this.

Should have mine today or tomorrow. If anyone is on the fence about it let me know and I'll answer any questions about it.

I had an issue once with checking out and had to clear my cookies/history. Why?, I have no idea, I just catch fish. Hopefully you'll get it figured out. Brian.

Yes, I ordered one and received it a couple of days ago.  It is indeed B-stock and has one year warranty only.  Looks brand new and I didn't find any defect or blemish.

Did your rod come sealed in a St Croix bag and have tags too?

Yes it came in a sealed plastic bag and has a St Croix tag that says B-stock.

Can you write/take a clearer picture of that fine print? Also is there something on the rod itself that marks it as B stock?

TIA

Here is the fine print.  I've not fished it but as far as I can tell there is nothing wrong with the rod.1213441643_IMG_4784(1).thumb.jpg.ec0bdec399cd443f6d8f50fcdcf9409c.jpg

Which rod did you get? Mostly wondering if they are Fast action or Mod action?

I know St Croix was getting rid of some Avid cranking rods which are Mod actions and I am curious if these are more of them.

Kind of annoying they are not up front and say they only come with a 1 year warranty and not the 15 year like normal.

Why would you buy a B stock rod with a extremely reduced warranty? I would have recommended just getting the rod at discount with full warranty. Well worth the extra coin IMO. But goodluck and let us know how you like it

I bought the fast action rod.  I already have a legend glass mod action for cranking.

I bought the St Croix Legend X MH as well. It came with a few blemishes and had a tag noting it as B stock with the 1 year warranty. Additionally not valid for any of the service plans - I called St Croix to confirm. The rod also arrived in a tube without the top cap and the tip was exposed. Luckily Sierra Trading Post has a good return policy.

$100 off is more than a little extra coin.

I bought a 6' 10" MH Legend Glass. Appears it was made for someone else as it has a "made for" decal on it but that's the only "blemish" I could find. If a rod is defective, a 1 year warranty should be fine because it's going to fail the first few uses. I'm more than happy with the purchase because I couldn't spend the money on even a discounted full price model.

$100 before the Black Friday sale that would put a BRAND NEW with full warranty at $200 so $50 extra you could have a perfect rod that wasn't B stock and have full warranty

You seem to have a lot of concern about how others spend their money.  It makes me wonder.
