There is a thread about this. Someone contacted Seaguar and confirmed that Seaguar no longer does the levelwind on the spools.

https://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/211568-counterfeit-seaguar-invizix/?page=2

Yea - I was part of that - hot mess.

Personally, I'm set on line for a while.

Still, haven't decided which direction to go once I do need it.

Purchasing directly from Seaguar is an option but top dollar will be required.

I'm expecting that since enough time may have pasted, that if 'the new' (and apparantly cheaper) stock is problematic, we'll most likely hear about it.

I may base my decision on whether that does or does not happen.

If you're in need of treble hook upgrades Overstockbait.com is having a wicked sale on size 2 and 4 (the most popular bass lure sizes) VMC black nickel round bend short shank hooks, a 4 pk. for just $.72 each. These may not be Owner's but they're close and definitely an upgrade on almost all stock hooks that come on baits nowadays.

RTIC has their soft coolers 40% off. I love mine. The 20 is perfect for a day trip and doesn’t take up much space. Holds ice well

Nice, picture shows the new style with better zipper handle, but at this deal I suspect they are closing out the older models.  Either way good price I picked up a 30, (20 would have worked probably) but have been wanting to grab a do-all size soft cooler for a while now.

Ya, even with the discount it's still more expensive than TW's regular price.

Of course this is Dick's - big conglomerate that can charge that much because people will pay that much.

Agreed. I’ve gotten some spectacular deals there by combining discounts on clearance items in the store but those are rare. Their everyday prices and exclusions are beyond ridiculous.  Their name says it all.

Has a flash sale until March 10th.  I picked up a first strike spinning rod to try out for under $200 shipped.  My understanding is these rods are essentially marked way up and then put on sale?  either way, just want to try one anyways.

The Walmart near me finally has some fishing gear in the clearance section. Nothing compared to last years choices or price drops yet. I walked out with a Rebel crawfish crankbait for $3

They had Berkley Lightning Rod Shocks (old cork handle models) for $30 and 2 Abu Garcia Vengeance spinning rod MH 6',6" version for $25

I was in one yesterday and they had several KVD 1.5, 2.5 and jerkbaits for $3 also Bandit 200. Suffix 832 braid was $7.All were in regular area with new price stickers over old ones

As a Walmart aficionado, I have this much figured out:

Right now, we are in stage 2 of a 3 stage clearance process for their fishing gear.

In general, for the stuff that they've earmarked for clearance, prices were first marked down about a month ago, as some guys have observed, and then dropped one level about a week ago.

They will drop again, probably in another week or two.

Not every store has managed to re-label everything that is on clearance yet, but they are getting there.

The general "themes" will be similar between stores: items that are being marked down include certain KVD cranks, in certain stores, etc as noted.  Specific items and amount of the markdown at each stage will vary from store to store.

25% off all Zoom products and H2O hard baits this week at Academy.

A word of warning: Their website is a mess.

I put a bunch of stuff in my cart, and then when I went to look in the cart, it wouldn't let me in. I tried two different browsers. I called customer service and they offered me a 20% discount code if I ordered online, so I tried installing a different browser, which solved that problem, but lots of items were out of stock online to begin with, and then after I spent a bunch of time filling the cart with enough stuff to get free shipping, enter my address and credit card info and solve the 20th CAPTCHA of the day to review my order, it says, "some of your items have gone out of stock, please review your cart". I look in my cart and half of the 12 items are out of stock.

I deleted the order and my account. Never again will I order online from them.

Can I have that 20% code then, LOL.
