If you like ugly white rods, a couple models of Duckett Ghosts are bogo at ALF right now.  Not really a Duckett fan myself but $99 for 2 rods seems like a pretty good deal.

You are limited to 2 sizes, 6'10" Medium/Fast and a 7'3" Heavy/Fast...still, awesome deal for 2 quality rods. Perfect deal for an angler on a budget!!!

Navionics is having a renewal sale thru the 28th. Renewals are $49.99 during the sale. Can switch plans it looks like.

I bought the 6 pack with the free black shirt. Kind of disappointed that half of them were 1/4 ounce but still a good deal.

I almost pulled the trigger on that deal, but was wary of not getting what I wanted in the baits

If you clicked on details or something it told you what ones they were sending you. that is why i didn't get the package with the shirt. I didn't want the light spinnerbaits or any colorado blades

One of my local Academy Sports stores has a clearance event that started at 8:00 AM this morning.  You take 50% off their already marked down price on clearance items.  They had all Dobyns Sierra rods that were marked down to $99.99 to $49.99 a piece.  They had 3 models: Sierra 683C,  Sierra 703C, and Sierra 734C.  I got one a piece :) May want to check your local Academy stores today and see if they are having a clearance event.  I also picked up some swimbait hooks, tungsten weights, etc. for a great price.  The clearance stuffs was not in the fishing section, it was in a clearance section near the back of the store.

You guys with Academy's near you are so lucky!!! Here in New England there's none...I wish one would open up somewhere nearby...I'd probably spend half my paycheck there...lol.

I know BPS is having a sale for the Classic starting 2/15 do other online stores like TW traditionally have one too?

Not sure, but they used to. After doing some research I found that they had 25% off back in 2014. Doubt that's the case anymore.

Wow. And I needed a new rod too. I wish I had an academy up here or a way to get a 734c

d**n - I picked up their last Tatula XT 7' MH 2 weeks ago for $49, and an Onyx automatic vest for $48 last week.  I'll have to swing by after work - my store had a rack way back in the back where I found the vests, but most of the rest of their fishing clearance stuff was right up in the fishing section.

FWIW, I talked to TW today. I asked the gentleman if they're going to have a sale for the Bassmaster Classic. He says yeah, probably in a month or two. I asked if he knew how much the sale is going to be. He said he's not sure, and to keep checking the site.

Stopped by Academy today and they had another gigantic clearance event. 50% off anything with a Clearance tag. Picked up a beautiful Dobyns Sierra 683C rod for $49 and an Abu Garcia Revo for $25. Only problem is the Revo is LH and I use RH reels. I may trade the reel for another RH reel or keep it and use it to flip with. Picked up a few other crazy deals there as well other than the fishing items.

There is one about 15 miles from my house.  But with our traffic situation in the Atlanta area, it's a complete moonshot to get there.  The Academy might as well be in Minnesota.  I told my wife the  next house we buy will be closer to an Academy.

Gods, I wish we had one up here. Only stores even close to me are DSG - and their fishing dept shrinks every year - and Cabelas - and that's 45 minutes away if there's no traffic on the freeway...which is rare. Closest BPS? 4 hours.

pretty lucky here. within 1/2 hour. there are 3 Academy, 4 Dicks, a Cabelas, a Bass Pro, and a Scheels.

Funny thing about Kansas City. Even though there are 2.8 million people in the metro, traffic issues are fairly rare, compared to other cities.

I still buy a lot of my equipment online.

Ya, we got 3.6 million in our metro - and they send people from other parts of the country to see how NOT to manage traffic...it's a mess.
