Reminder: Do NOT attempt to get around the word filters. We don't like to hand out penalties, but will do so if this occurs. Please don't put us in that position.

Not a tackle sale, but I know a lot of us utilize kayaks. Dick's has the YakAttack Leverage Net on clearance. Was $90, now $63. Show the website price on your phone if your store does not have them marked down and they will honor it.

I picked up a castaway 7'3" flippin stick, a daiwa spinning rod/reel combo, and a Shimano Bantam 5:1 bait caster for $30 today.

Crazy deals, but this is like winning lottery. I think I have better chance browsing through Japan online flea market sites.

Rule 5b section 4: NO GLOATING, it only feeds the bait monkey and our tackle addiction.

Kidding aside, awesome score. Tight lines

Been eyeing those nets off for a couple years, but never pulled the trigger and just kept using my Ego net. Have the Yakattack on the way now, feel like it'll be better for netting bigger redfish and black drum.

20% off Keitech at FishUSA

20% off Keitech at FishUSA

Speaking of 'fishy' tackle shops (in this case stores with 'fish' in their name) a store called fishfield.com looks like they are having a flash sale right now and it looks like you can get a decent discount on a lot of shimano / daiwa stuff that isn't discounted as much...among other things it looks like they have that shorter daiwa swimbait rod at a 20% discount.

I also noticed another one 'fishermanswarehouse.com' that has some St Croix stuff at prices that look similar to what ALF had during their last 'sell it all' sale a while back...a lot of the rods are sold already from the looks of it but still some nice choices in stock if you look around.

Has anyone ordered from one of these places? I haven't bought from either of them before but figured I'd mention it since they seem to be running some decent discounts.

Yeah they're both legit. I've ordered from FishField many times.

A while ago another member wanted a report from someone who had bought mystery rods from Midway.

Well, here you go:

This past December I YOLO'd and bought a mystery rod, or four... I ordered two casting rods and two spinning rods at different price points. I put specifics below, but the conclusion is that I didn't get ripped off.

First, all of the rods were St. Croix. For a Midwest boy that suits me fine. I haven't had a chance to use any of them yet.

The least expense rod was advertised as a "bass crankbait casting rod minimum value $175”. Purchase price $105. I received a Mojo Bass series Carbon Cranker - 7'2" Med Heavy / Moderate. (Market Price $175-200)

The second rod was advertised as a"bass casting rod minimum value $200. Purchase price $120. I received a Victory series - 7'3" Heavy / Mod-Fast. (Market Price $200-275)

The third rod was advertised as a "bass spinning rod-2 piece, minimum value $200". Purchase price $130. I received an Avid series - 6'8" Medium / Extra Fast 2 piece. (Market Price $200-250)

Finally the spendy one. Advertised as a "trout and panfish spinning rod minimum value $400”. Purchase price $220. I received a Legend Elite Panfish series - 7'0" Lite / Extra Fast. (Market Price $385-410)

So, there you go. Four samples of the Midway mystery rods. I am overall pleased. The only disappointment is the length of the Victory rod and only because I could use a rod for carolina rigs and bigger swim baits.

I paired the trout and panfish rod with a Seviin reel for a full fan boy setup. The Victory is getting an Ark7 and the Avid is TBD. Final question though: What goes on the Carbon Cranker? Options are a domestic Scorpion DC, an older JDM scorpion (IDC3), or a new JDM SLX DC XT?

@MontanaBasser thank you for making me feel slightly less guilty about buying 2 rods within the last 24 hours.

Also just a heads up copperstate sent an email about their spring sale (20% off) a couple of hours ago...some items might not be included from the looks of it but Dobyns rods definitely seem to work...

Copperstate has 300 yd. spools of PowerPro for $14.40 after the 20% discount. Price is the same for the 150 yd, so I'm guessing this is some sort of error on their site. We'll see what they actually deliver to the house.

Looks like Lake Pro tackle takes 15% off these when you put one in your cart right now...haven't ordered from them before but have seen a couple of their youtube videos and they seem like they are probably ok (other than they seem to try to get you to buy route shipping protection but looks like you can just uncheck that).

I was going to, but after applying filters to see what $300+ reels they had, there wasnt any I was interested in. So I chose not to gamble.

e,

Dude you should've seen me mumbling to myself earlier going back and forth on whether or not I should get that thing. I mas in and out of my head for the span of at least an hour and a half looking into what reels it could possibly be, do I reely need another reel, out the the potential reels it could be which would I be happy with, if it was one of the others could I deal with it or would it be a waste on a reel I won't use (like the daiwa musky reel).......

I just got myself a reel like a month and a half ago that was a big buy for myself, I was torn on a deal like this. 40% gets me lickin my chops

Definitely keep us posted man, I'm excited for you, like a giant quarter machine with the little toys or candy or tattoos in the little plastic eggs, but for adults Channel 9 Kid GIF by Married At First Sight Australia
