The website isnt great, the app is the best way.

However if using website only try this.

go into search on DSG, type in what you want but dont hit search. It will pop up.

If you hit search nothing will show.

Take a screenshot and go to your local store and see if theres any left in stock.

Awesome deals but in-store only, no shipping available on any of the Shimano stuff at least and the web site says no stores within 100 miles of me have any of them in stock :(.

Anymore there sales have been in store only for the most part, and never trust there website for if a store is stocked or out of stock. Its all lies. There own employees admitted as much yesterday to me.

Go in store, ask someone in the fishing section to take a look in the back or scan it with their scanner, its accurate unlike the website. I found several Custom Pro Rods that were out of stock in both stores, in both stores.

Works on clearance items too. TW website keeps going down for me, every few seconds - minutes.

Must be getting alot of people.

Same. I count it as a blessing. It’s the bait sloth trying to slow everyone down…

The bait sloth is the bait monkey’s long lost cousin. Most don’t know about him because he’s so slow that you usually hear from the monkey first. I almost met him once. It was a secret meeting. The BM hired me to take him out, but I didn’t have the patience to wait for him to show, so I left…

Same thing w/ St Croix apparently...didn't see it discounted in the cart but saw your comment so put in my credit card info and it showed up on the order summary and email confirmation...picked up a new Victory full contact...was taking a serious look at that Expride 7' heavy since that seems to be double discounted at this point, but I usually sit in a kayak or throw frogs from the bank so that extra length is going to make a difference. Plus I already have their Marshall rod and like it (and their customer service) enough to go w/ this one...but that 7' Expride for $150 and change is not a bad deal at all...

I think TW will take 20% off any item in the email confirmation, but not in the checkout screen for certain brands, such as Shimano, Daiwa, St. Croix, Megabass, GLoomis, etc. The only time you won't get the 20% off is when you see the little italics in checkout "This item is not eligible for advertised discounts."

New to the TW sales.  I put a rod in the cart and it didn't show 20% off.  It had the icon for 20% at the top.  It took 20 off on the lures, but not the rod.

I deleted the lures and went to purchase just the rod to see if the discount would show in the final billing.  It still didn't when I hit proceed to check out.   It also added $15 for shipping.

Thought there was free shipping on rods or items over 'x' amount.    I just saw same price for this rod on another site with free shipping.

Little confused.  Want the rod on the discount, but don't want to pay $15 more to ship.

Maybe I found my own way to tame the monkey.

Disregard everything above....got the discount and no shipping charged.  I don't read well when sneaking in orders on work time.

Well, that’s the issue…you tried to sneak orders on work time. Be a man (or woman) and don’t sneak! If you get asked, let them know you are feeding the less fortunate (BM - though we all know he’s way more fortunate than any of us)!

With the other thread about Abu being overpriced, i offer you Abu's being sold for what they should be!

Midway has open box rods and reels at a very high discount.

For example:

Revo STX $144 instead of $230.

Revo SX Rocket $120 instead of $190

Revo Rocket $207 instead of $330.

Theres some more deals for their spinning rods and reels too.

and theres a Tatula CT for $109

Various Dobyns spinning/casting rods have some good discounts too.

This is a YMMV, but a couple of Walmarts have some tackle on clearance but it varies by store and pricing also varies. The one item they had that I thought was the best deal were some Rapala OG 6 crankbaits, couple of store have had them marked down to $3.50. Most have been cleared out but I have found one, still have a couple more stores to go to...Here are some of what I have found and local prices, they may have 1 or 2 colors on sale its not all of them, YMMV:

Ozark shallow crankbait $1 (couple different colors)

Strike King Redeye shad $2.50 1/2oz(2-3 colors)

Zoom super tubes - $2

Ozark rattle lure -$1 (small and large, looks like a red eye shad copy)

Berkley Lil General- $2.50

Berkley flat worm - $2.50

Rapala OG 6 - $3.50

Berkley Fusion swimbait hooks 5/0 - 2.00

Eagle Claw pro Series Jason Christie Spinnerbait Trailer hooks - $1.50

Just thought I would pass along....

Bass Mafia Daingerous 6" swimbaits for $6.80 (2 in a pack).

And many other things going on too.

Looks like Berkley Frittside's 5 and 7's are also on clearance if the store carries them, $3.50 or $4.00. I found one that had all the above and pretty much cleaned them out, lol. I didn't take a pic of the soft plastics but they have some powerbaits on clearance also. I am located in mid Missouri, St. Louis area so again its a YMMV but getting these for $3.50 I think is a pretty good deal if available, good luck!

Went to WalMart in a nearby town and checked out the fishing dept. They had Rapala OG cranks for $2.50 &$3.00. my two fav. colors, Silver and Big Shad, too.  Cleaned them out in one swoop. Mama wasn't too happy until I mentioned what they normally sell for.  My guess is Rapala discontinued them. All the better.  They could be worth something in the future, like next season!

Went today and looked.  Are they noticably marked for these prices?  I tried to see if I could get someone to scan one was OG6 but couldn't really get anyone to help me.

Yes they have clearance tags on the items that are discounted and/or just ths lower price. Again Ive been to probably 5 or 6 stores and its hit or miss, i think three stores had no discounts at all while the other three did. Not sure how it works but that is what I have seen. The easiest way to check prices is to download the walmart app and they have a scan feature that you can scan the upc and it will display the price for that store. I do that to verify all the prices, good luck!
