Maybe if we teamed up, we could just rob him. He can’t stop a mob of lure-hungry Midwesterners.

@NorthernBasser is speaking the truth --- he sold me a very nice/like new EverGreen Combat Stick (7'1" MH) complete with an EverGreen rod sock --- and a gently used Abu Garcia reel as well. 

Those might only be .0000000000001% of the gear he owns --- but he did make the effort (to my benefit) of purging some gear.

Thanks for posting there are a few things I was looking at .

 

TW better wake up, their pricing is generally higher and a 20% sale is better than nothing. They've got some competition they better pay attention to.

I haven't ordered from tacklewarehouse.com in 1.5-2 years because they just don't have the prices/sales to draw me in.

 

People will say "but their selection though!..." not impressed, everybody else has plenty, they don't offer anything I can't live without. They used to be the only place ordered from.

 

That data breach and lack of communication and transparency along with their lack of sales and jacked up prices keep me looking elsewhere.

Most were mentioned above. I almost used them exclusively and now they are second or third choice based on price and speed of shipment alone.

 

It can be stated differently maybe. Maybe is they have grown comfortable with a loyal buyer base and don't feel they have to "earn" your business where most of the companies listed early go out of their way to ACTUALLY ship same day and have improved their sites and stock.

I've done my fair share of beatching about TW, but I've gotta kick it to ya real and say my last few orders shipped super fast and came very fast, and that was using the free shipping option including a 2 rod order.

I don’t think ANYONE was ready for Covid.   They (TW) tried to maneuver it like everyone else.  To expect anyone to perform the same during that time is ridiculous.  They have worked hard to get back and provide a great service.  With that said, I do order a TON from Midway, and look at a lot of other places and find great deals.  It is hard to beat the selection at TW though.

Tackle Warehouse's depth of product selection, speed of shipment and low order total for free shipping are key to me. Many times I would like to take advantage of sales from other vendors but find it would take buying from two or three to get all the products I wanted/needed at the time. At that point overall shipping cost kills any savings from the sales.

I always used TW because the filtered search function on their website was so great. When searching for rods, for example, you could select exactly what length and power you wanted and it would show all available options. 
 

Since they got rid of that, I no longer think of them as the best place to find gear. It’s a shame.

TW might have screwed up their website to Nth degree, but since they put a warehouse in GA, it's stupid convenient to buy from them again.   

 

I get my orders in about 48hrs now vs. a week+ before the new warehouse.  

 

I think the new warehouse solved lots of their issues.

New website is still sketchy - was browsing by bait type & found some brands were missing from the results. Now they have a nag popping up on the right side of the screen for the mailing list sale - can’t dismiss it either. Dummies in charge of the "improved" website now, apparently. 😒

I placed an order with TW this past Friday. There was a lure I wanted and there was only one in stock. I added a few more things to get to $50.00 for free shipping.

 

After I placed the order it dawned on me that had I waited until Monday I would have got in on the sale.

 

When I received the e-mail invoice it showed that they gave me the discounted sale prices on everything and my order will be here on Tuesday. 

 

There's nothing to complain about with that order!!!!!
