Reminder: Do NOT attempt to get around the word filters. We don't like to hand out penalties, but will do so if this occurs. Please don't put us in that position.

Thank you @gimruis  and @MN Fisher

I went to the Omnia site and purchased some of the Sufix 832. I use spinning reels and had not used this line -- yet both of you and several others seem to really like it -- so I figure I will give it a go for fishing next spring. Hopefully our relatively warm MN weather continues and that we have an early ice out in the spring.

I was looking at getting one last Spring, but ended up getting the Spro big Rat which I really couldn't make myself fish enough to catch a fish on.

I could've sworn it was one of you two. The Mandela Effect is real..

I have 3 different colors of the bait. Between the colors I probably have caught 20+ fish since I have been throwing them. I have never caught one on a straight wake retrieve - break it up with pauses. That's when it gets bit.

If anyone has any money left over after all the sales the past month, The Hookup Tackle is having a 22% off sale through 1/6. Sure wish I knew this was coming when they had 20% off gift cards a couple weeks ago!

They happen to have some k-9's and tiny klashes in stock if anyone's looking for one (22% applies to DRT).

I think it would violate your wonderful site's policies if I elaborated.  This thread has saved me a ton of cash and I'd hate to lose access to it.

I just have to take my gear/tackle with me. This thing is big. 24" long. Comes with six 3600 size utility boxes and fits up to 14. This would make it easy for me to take a bunch of stuff with.

Ya but with the wide assortment of tackle you own, how could you ever decide which stuff to take with? Maybe you should buy 3.

@Gnarwhal To be clear, posts are rarely deleted.  As you can see here, whatever post you thought would get deleted hasn't been removed (I don't know what post that is, I just know we haven't deleted anything for quite a long time).

I don't know where you get the notion we routinely delete posts, but PM me if you have any questions.  Happy to help!

If I had to guess it was the ALF post, which at times as had the dreaded ****. I have only shopped there once but it was a positive experience. I know why you can’t post the naughty list, but sometimes we have zero clue we crossed a line and it is unintentional and we know that list fluctuates   Heck I stupidly asked you to delete my account once a long time ago because I couldn’t determine if a store was safe to order from, glad you didn’t listen:)

only feature request would be to turn the filter off in PMs. Unless people spammed members there as well in the past, then an obvious no go.

@Glenn @Cgolf It was probably my post, which I manually typed those special characters & initially ended it with "er". I edited it a few minutes later, not wishing to toe the line quite so closely. I honestly wish to obey the rules, but I’m one who uses habitual colorful language & sometimes find the need to edit myself a bit out of respect to those who don’t talk like a seasoned trucker.

@Gnarwhal Apologies if that was the case & you got put on the spot.

If you’re talking about certain sites, I’m ignorant of that & ignore my blathering.

We now resume our drama free bait monkey support system (bait monkey enabling in @NorthernBasser’s case).

ALF is no longer on the list.  I know the list isn't published, but a quick rule of thumb, is after you post something, read it. If it contains ***, then it's on the list.  You can then edit the post or delete it (immediately after posting).

You won't get penalized for an accidental post like that.  But if it's habitual, or if you're deliberately trying to skirt around the ***, then you'll get a warning. If it happens again, you'll get another warning, and so on, until it becomes apparent the warnings are being ignored.  Then stronger action may be required to, ah, get your attention.  :)

Unfortunately, there's no way to apply it to public posts but not PM's.  The program isn't that sophisticated.

So...no need to tiptoe around.  If you step out of bounds, you'll know - and nothing bad will happen unless it continues.
