Came home today, walked out front to check the mail and saw this

Not how you want to find the box with your new rod. Fortunately the rod seems to be ok.

I got the 7’2” Heavy Zenon 1/2-1 1/2 oz. The rod feels very powerful and has a stiff tip so the 1/2oz lower end seems about right. It weighs in at 4.9oz with the tags still on but balances well with a reel attached. 
 

Oddly enough I ordered Sunday evening and never received a tracking number or shipping notification and it got here today, Tuesday. Really fast shipping. But none of the baits I ordered came today so hopefully they will get here soon.

Lol I know right! I have another rod coming from St. Croix that I ordered earlier last week and I thought for sure it was that one. I've never ordered something at 8pm on Sunday and had it arrive on Tuesday, crazy.

Just what I need for the beach to cover some of the gap between my MH & H  bass rods and my 9-, 10- & 11-foot surf rods, a Fenwick Elite Inshore Spinning rod, 7' H, 3/4 to 3 oz. lures. Full cork too, and half price is nice.

You're a good/bad influence.  I'm rebuilding my rod collection and while these weren't on my radar, cannot pass up the deal.  I originally picked up the medium light Zenon and the MG-LTX reel the other night along with a slew of baits.  Tonight after reading your post I thought to myself, hmmm I don't have a heavy rod in my plans as of yet and it's a good deal at 50% off...  So I just ordered the heavy Zenon and a MG-X reel.  This overnight change window needs to end before I spend even more money.  I need to step away from the computer.   I did receive notification of my original order shipment this evening, rod, reel, and baits all in 2 packages.  With my luck, the overnight Digitaka 'in stock' notification for the other reels I want will come through while I'm sitting here.

I feel you, I've ordered 3 rods over the last couple of weeks and I didn't really need any of them. These sales are killing my bank account too. Hope you enjoy your new gear!

At this point I kind of wish the coupon code would die. 
 

just saw their new deal today. Veritas rod with revo x reel comes out just 90 dollars. That seems like a screaming deal.

I think you got your wish! I went in to place an order on this exact combo and got a " enter a valid code" error. Bummer

Dang it! I was hoping for this but now I'm mad. Had $180 worth of baits in my cart ($90 with the code). Kept stalling, kind of hoping it'd expire. But now I'm bummed. You know the saying.. ? or get off the ?

Ughhh just tried it for a 2nd order for an Ugly Stick for a nephew and a President baitcaster for myself but no luck ? 

 

Does any body know a good deal on the baitcaster?

Been trying to get hold of someone at Pure Fishing.......seems almost impossible. I came home to this.

TW started their 12 days of savings. 20-70% off select rods. Seems most rods are models that have been on closeout for a while. Except the Dobyns, which are 20% off.

Mine wasn't much better. The rod was ok but it was the worst box I've ever seen used for shipping a rod.

After 1 hour and 3 minutes on hold, I gave up trying to talk to a human at Pure Fishing. Sent a few emails. Hopefully someone returns one. Sad part is, I have 2 more rods coming from them.
