Hmmm.

A-Jay, bait monkey is whispering in my ear right now. Is there something I am truly missing out on by not fishing chatterbaits?

I can't answer that for you, especially from here.

But if you come fish Lake Menderchuck

I'd say that's a definite maybe . . . . .

6.54 lbs. ~

Should I be tempted also?  I’ve never used a chatterbait but an opportunity is exactly one month away.  I’m heading up to a clear and rocky smallmouth lake in eastern Ontario and am already loaded up with tubes, ned rigs, swimbaits, jerkbaits, and crankbaits.  Oh and drop shots also.  If I added a few chatterbaits in the dark green pumpkin color (perch?), might this be my new favorite lure?  I’ll have two weeks to try for my PB from this lake.  I think I’ll do it!

That would be perfect conditions for a chatterbait! Get a few of these Jackhammers (yes, they really ARE that much better than others) in Green Pumpkin Shad with a Green Pumpkin variation trailer like a Hog Farmer Spunk Shad or a Big Bite Baits Swimon in around a 4" - 5" size and you're set .

Came home today and the wife left the Bass Pro Shops flyer out for me. 3F5B1648-88F6-47EF-A428-318E18756489.thumb.jpeg.706e02a8bc6b161c8575c398638f9934.jpeg I purchased my non limited edition 1500 size 3 years ago and I’m extremely pleased I did. Although I can’t confirm, it’s been said it’s a rebadged Daiwa. Again I don’t have the limited edition but mine is smooth as silk and definitely worth the price.

Not a sale per-se - but today only, Scheels has free shipping with no minimum.

My local Field and Stream (DSG) had Jackhammers on the sale rack for buy 5 - get 5 free. The retail was high at $18 but you still end up getting them for $9 bucks each.

The one we have in Prosper, TX actually has a lot of good inventory. But the prices are sky high. It's an hour drive from me so I have to be in the area for another reason to stop. But after seeing these prices, I won't be stopping unless they have something specific I can't get or can't wait for.

The Hook Up has a deal, buy a version of a in stock St Croix Legend spinning rod, get a 200.00 Daiwa Kage reel for free. I grabbed a 7'6 ML Legend Elite for 419.00, no tax and free shipping. This rod is 470.00 plus tax and TW.

The turnaround time on my order was nuts. Ordered last Monday at 9 pm and the order arrived Thursday. Will order from them again.

Kistler. Add $600 to your cart, get 40% off. I don't need any more rods at the moment, but getting another Helium and Feel N Reel is tempting for $360 (reg. $600).
