I ordered the trolling motor and got cancelled as well. Knew it would but I believe a company like basspro should stand behind it when a mistake is made.  I get that we knew it was a mistake but years ago a company would have stood behind it. As already stated tho no harm done it was worth a shot lol

I was rooting for ya’ll

Curse you, @Michigander!! Just received the two swimbait rods I ordered because of you.  Now I gotta find two reels!  Would never have known about them without your evil machinations!!!  (By the way, for the price they seem to be pretty nice although the water here is still too hard for field testing.) Definitely a great deal for a casual swimbait enthusiast such as I.

Got the email that it was a pricing error and that my card would be refunded this morning.

I would raise hell and tell them that I bought other stuff in preparation for the trolling motor which I cant return ... odds are you can at least get a gift card out of them

I also noticed that the E6X Drop Shot and several models of the E6X Baitcaster rods are at $100.

I immediately bought two E6X casting rods online but cancelled my order after handling them in store the next morning. Might just be me but something felt off. The cork was excellent but the house brand Ethos HD rod felt much better to me.

I believe in karma, and don't want any bad mojo going into lunker pre-spawn season!

What if the bank accidentally added a zero to your account total in their web app?  Would you demand they honor their mistake?  What if you were the person that made the mistake?  What then?  Just curious as to what some company owes you for a mistake, as opposed to a what a person owes you for making a mistake.  Any process, procedure, or policy a company has was made by a person.  People make mistakes.

Sportsmansoutfitters also has the Falcon Buccoo SR on sale for 79.99.

Just looked, it's $69.99, that's a deal.

In my eyes it's just a deal where everything at basspro and cabelas is over priced til sales come around and we're talking about a company that basically owns the whole fishing industry.  Do they "owe" us anything...no sir. Would I feel bad if I got one over on them...absolutely not. They could sell things even at the same prices as other places and not put a dent in their bottom line. They dont because of greed. I would tell someone at a bait shop of their mistake before I'd try to make em lose money.  I'd say them losing a few hundred on a trolling motor isnt affecting whether Johnny can afford his next meal. As always just my opinion

Is this the latest sale thread, or the latest scam thread?

H2O Express Rods and SLX Rods @ Academy

Not sure if this applies to all Academy stores but it seems the rods that show the promotion online are 50% off in store even if you dont buy the reel.

Just picked up another Ethos for $35.00

Tackle Supply Depot is having a 20% off Bassmaster Classic sale.

Kittery Trading post is having a 17% off sale with code: LUCKY17 + free shipping.

These two sites are quickly becoming two of my favorites in the fishing industry.

Does TW typically do a site-wide sale in the spring - either Tax Day or Memorial Day sale?

Yes, I believe it’s usually 10 and 15 percent respectively.

Garbage sale if you ask me.   Typical Tw these days.  Nothing that I’d like to buy (on my wish list) is on sale.

This is typical for the classic sale, just wait a few weeks for the tax stimulus sale and get 10% off.

I feel like Tackle Warehouse could have a 99% off sale every Tuesday and people would find something to complain about.

I just took advantage of the TW sale this morning.  Bought a Dobyns Fury for my little brother for an early birthday present.  I will take that savings on a decent rod any day of the week.  Don't worry I bought him a reel and a spool of braid to go with it.  I am not that careless!!!!
