I seen the 15% off but it’s not applying to the Daiwa Reel I’m interested in. I’ll give their customer service a call and see. If somehow we can do gift cards instantly, you can 20% on them and then 15% on some items to purchase which is 35%

I recently purchased a Megabass rod from KTP and I was following the delivery online tracking.  The day it was "out for delivery", i got a notification from UPS that the rod was returned to sender due to damage (has not made it to me yet).  After calling around I got ahold of UPS local warehouse and talked to a lady asking about details as to why this occured, I told her there was a fishing rod inside.  She called me back after looking into it and she said the package was completely folded in 2 and the packaging material was "weak and flimsy with no support".  I called KTP talked with them about it, and they did refund me my money. They also did offer to send me another rod but i refused, mainly because of the description from UPS and didnt want to get another rod and have a broken guide or somethign an dhave to deal with back and forth etc due to lack of proper packaging. I was really excited to get this rod as I had an upcoming tournament I intended on using it for.  Very disapointed.

I picked up a Levante from them a few weeks ago and fortunately (for me) had a better experience. I was shocked to find the end cap had fallen off at some point during the trip out west, but the tube itself was about 90% as good as what TW uses and I cannot imagine it folding in half unless it got really wet or something. The rod itself was well protected in the tube and arrived in perfect condition.

Our Megabass stock at KTP continues to grow thanks to you guys. Make sure if you do have an issue with anything you contact us. We will definitely take care of any issues that arise. The magdrafts sold out like hotcakes, we got a few more in. The I-Slides have sold pretty well considering the price point. Good luck on the water!

Picked up the Amistad 7-3 Heavy. Far as I can tell, this is the same rod other than the color.

Mine arrived just fine, the box wasn’t exactly a hard type shipping tube but it worked. Any breakage in that situation is on the shipping company

I agree if the box is folded in half, then that's on the shipping company. But these rods are pricey and somewhat delicate. Companies should be shipping them in tubes.

Y'all really need to ship rods in Tubes vs two long boxes taped together. Seriously. My Levante arrived safe but it's a horrible way to ship fishing rods.

American Legacy Fishing shipped mine in a PVC pipe with the word “fragile” all over it. I had a hard time even opening it lol.

KTP just takes two long square boxes and tapes them together. There is NO rigidity. The rod could easily get bent or crushed.  Fair warning to buyers.

I purchased a Penn Battle II combo for surf fishing from amazon. They just taped the label to the thin plastic bag that was around it. I'm surprised it wasn't damaged.

Yeah, that doesn't sound good at all. Fortunately mine came in a tube... they must be selective with using them or have inconsistencies with packaging out of the warehouse.

I didn’t end up calling to see if you can use the cards instantly. But if you don’t mind waiting to physically get the card, then I can’t see why you couldn’t use it to buy items with the discount.

I just got one too. Mine says 6/19, but at least it’s not canceled. If you happen to want one sooner, ask a local Gander Outdoors to price match it so you can get it earlier. I asked mine and they let me as a one time thing, but said it was much below their cost. And I kept my order with Overtons, so I’ll have an extra for another family member. Worth a shot!
