Not sure if this is the right place, but has anyone had issues with online orders from Academy??? I can't get past checkout to place an order online...Their CS wasn't any help, they just told me to call in an order. But if it is a problem on my end or their end I do not know...

Are you running a VPN? I know I have to disable mine on some sites...don't know about Academy's site.

Funny thing about Kansas City. Even though there are 2.8 million people in the metro, traffic issues are fairly rare, compared to other cities.

At those Academies I have purchased 15 bags of Zoom for $.48-.98ea, Owner hooks for 1.98, RatLTraps for 1.98, 2 6'6" MH Mettle rod and reel combos for $19.98ea.

 

I'm waiting for a good deal on a 6'6" M Ethos or better...

 

@Russ E go to Scheels. I got 2 bags of Noisy Flappers for 1.99ea. They have lots of Crazy Flappers and Easy Shiners on sale too.

I live really close to a scheels in Lincoln Nebraska, I used to be able to find really good deals but then they rebuilt it (huge) and it might as well be a bass pro shops with their prices.

Okuma SBX 7-11XH and XXH are pretty heavily discounted on Amazon right now (and only one of each).  Wish the deal was as good on the H, as that is what I am looking for...

Stopped at a local Walmart to check for tackle clearances.

There were several Strike King 5XD crankbaits for $6.22. 

among them were these 3 for $1.50. I asked the  man stocking the shelves, if it was the correct price.

He said yes there was a clearance on last years baits, to make room for the new ones.

There were 3 more identical to the ones I bought, labeled at full price.

I asked if they were also on sale. he said no they were new.

I just grabbed my 3 crankbaits, said thanks, and walked a away.

you should have tried to price match them if they were exactly the same...

I just got $18.50 worth of crankbaits for $4.50. I didn't want to push my luck.

I tried the tackle trap and discount code FB10 does work. Gets it down to $161.95. I was hoping to pick one up for around $135. Guess I will wait on an eBay code. Checked alpha2omega and didn't see that they have any Daiwa Tatula SV listed in their store.

I got one of the HUK Tatula shirts in 2017 when I bought my Tat CT-R off of ebay.  Seller claimed to be an authorized seller - TriAce Tackle, I think.  So your odds are pretty good, esp since ALF has a brick and mortar store.

Stopped back by Academy this morning and found one last hidden gem. I bought a Chronarch last week for $99 here and I thought it was a steal then. Found the display model and asked them about it and guess what? $49. Also found some $50 Camo Onyx Life Jackets for $4.98.
