Need an Academy here in Michigan...

MI and IL atleast somewhere in between... Maybe it's good that they are not though... This has been a rough off season on my wallet already.

found a cracked gear in my lower unit the end of last season.  I've been really light on new tackle til I'm back on the water.

So is the next Tacklewarehouse sale around the Classic in mid-March?  What % off is it usually?  Looking to buy an ALX Rod - does anyone else sell them besides TW?

So disappointed in their online selection. The stores around me are good. But man, online just sucks.

For example, they carry one Shimano casting reel. And it's a trolling reel. The selection is about as good for the Daiwa's.

That was disappointing... we had two here locally that had a decent selection before they went out of business.  Their online presence is lacking, at least for fishing gear.

I don’t have any Gander stores near me, so online would be my only option. I agree, their selection online isn’t very extensive. It almost see like they only use the website to purge overstocked items. Minimal colors and sizes of plastics and lures. And a sparse selection of rods and reels overall. I might try out some ZMan Jackhammers and some of their plastics.

Interested in this too, specifically the % off.

The one thing that has my interest is the Slide Box Anchor, size small. It's on sale for $129.99 and with the 30% off that brings it down to $90...that is by far the cheapest price I've seen on that anchor anywhere.

Outlet Bait and Tackle has a 53% off sale going on selected items.  Lots of War Eagle spinnerbaits included- come out to about $2.80 each. They have some of the WE flipping jigs too for about $1.50 each. I stocked up on some of the spinnerbaits that I don't even really like the skirt color just for the hardware.  Add discount code ALERT or WELCOME for another 10% off your whole shopping cart.

It's that time of the year!  To me this is always one of the best sales.  However, you get what you get when you get it: different stores have different items on sale, and the prices will drop by a few dollars every few weeks, until they hit rock bottom in March.  The trick is to get what you want before there is nothing left.

I think we should start a online petition to get Academy stores in every state. I'd even promise to spend my next paycheck there.

Anyone want an email coupon I have for $5 off $30 at BPS in-store? Expires 2/15.

I told myself the local DSG won't have any items I want on for 5 for 5 deal.  Stopped in last night and regret not going sooner.

There were 10+ empty hooks for SK RES and KVD 1.5 square bills.

They did have Yamamoto baits, vmc terminal tackle, Zman original chatterbaits, SK rage craws, and 4 display shelves of other items included in the sale.  Was just late to the party as it had been picked over.

I would take this off your hands if you still have it.

Actually found a DSG that had a decent 5/5 sale going: they were clearing out a surprising amount of stuff.  Based on historical experience, the 5/5 will be ending soon.  Back in the good old days they'd do a "blow out" of the dregs that were left, and some DSGs had some good leftovers.  Will be interesting to hear when the 5/5 ends this year, and if the sales get better or just plain end.

Also, the manager told me the leftovers go to a great clearance outlet in Minnesota.

Where is this secret lure blowout clearance place??
