Better late than never! ;)

I've seen this thread before, but it just never sank in seeing old sales that I had missed. So I started coming here more often and just now subscribed...

THANK YOU!

Discovered the Academy sale and bought a bunch of H2O items along with a few others that have been in my list. The prices (even those that were not on sale), were pretty good, so... Now I just have to wait by my door! LOL!

My wife's is taking me up to Ten Mile lake here in Oregon for a "mini-vacation". She's even springing for a boat rental so I don't have to get mine in order and have to tow it up there. (How lucky can one guy get? She loves fishing and comes from a heavy fishing/hunting family.) She's planned for us to both spend most our days up there fishing! =D

Thanks for all who post here! Just save me a bunch of $$$ (I don't think the "bait monkey" had anything to do with this purchase... I'm pretty specific about my "wish lists" I keep on my computer and only purchase what I really want to use/try out... LOL! (rolling eyes)...

Thanks again!

Richard

Good evening!

I apologize if I'm repeating but I'm just curious, with ICAST right around the corner and new products being released, should I expect to see any sales or clearance on previous year's rod and reel models?

A more general question... What time of year is best for finding deals?  I have a big list of "want" but not "need" and like most of us, I want to stretch my dollar as far as possible.

Thanks!

You can get one here for $160 with the 20% off. Use code JULY20.

You just missed out on an eBay sale. Find one on eBay for 164.99 then wait for a universal 15-20% off code. There was a code that ended yesterday at 9 PM.

I was lucky enough to catch the sale in the last hour myself. Ordered a Tatula HD for the swimbait rod. $94.00 out the door.

Yeah, Academy got in my pocket for 5 crankbaits, 2 Gunfish knock offs, a SK spinnerbait, and a Pop-R.  I had to get to free shipping and for $27, how was I suppose to resist?

I'm going to Academy this afternoon. Thanks for the post. Academy's line of crankbaits are by far the best house brand cranks I've ever used.

I got a couple in sexy shad to troll for stripers. They look just like a small bunker (menhadden).

The one he missed was a universal code for 15% off. PARTYINUSA is still good for 20% but only certain vendors... which includes alpha2omega who normally has the lowest daiwa prices.

The whopper ploppers are not on clearance at my local stores.

I referenced the universal code because it seems all of the eligible sellers for the PARTYINUSA code are out of high speed Tatula SVs

Stopped by Dicks today and they had their clearance buy 5 get 5 free.  I picked up 10 packs of senkos for $35.

I need to go check my dicks out

I picked up a few yesterday. Had to hide them from the wife, but I think I picked up a gold shiner and a chartreuse.

Got the Stratic 1000 HG for a $117 on ebay with code PARTYINUSA. Pretty freaking happy. Close to getting the BG but a stratic for $117, I just couldent pass up. Gonna spool it with some 6lb yo-zuri hybrid and use for my ned/spy bait setup.

......now what rod to buy to pair it up with......?

Went to Academy, the H20's were pretty well picked over. I did manage to 20 cranks, 10 baits 2 each. Thanks for the heads up.
